Total customer satisfaction focus, thinking outside the box and anticipating your needs. Even before you arrive. Accommodation, blown away. Forget how clean was the room, that will never be an issue! Breakfast more than acceptable but definitely eat there in the evening. Not sure who is behind the menu and execution but intend to find out on my next visit. Sophisticated, doesn’t come close, has to be experienced. Every member of staff I encountered excelled, EVERY MEMBER.!!The Italian born Sommelier is so passionate about the hotel and “his” wines, you can trust his judgement without question. Location perfect. I will be back soon.

Reviewed By GJK1962-6Had a wonderful 3 day culinary stay at this hotel. Because of Corona breakfast and dinner (see score in the rest-section) was served in the room. Perhaps because of that, we were upgraded to a spacious family room in the front part of the annex. Good news: nice view over the lit up canal; bad news: the window is right at the street, which is quite busy and noisy, so perhaps better to opt for a room at the back...

Goed en gezellig hotel op een historische locatie, keerpunt van de Elfstedentocht. Met een zeer goede keuken, prachtig terras en grote bar een uitstekende uitvalbasis voor uw zakenuitje of weekendje weg met de familie.

Reviewed By Trek769665Uitstekende prijs/kwaliteit. Goede en mooie kamer, zeer goed restaurant. Ontbijt wordt aan tafel geserveerd door Letty, altijd vriendelijk, altijd behulpzaam. Zeer goede fietsenstalling met veel stopcontacten voor de oplading van batterijen. Alles aanwezig voor een mooie vakantie in Dokkum.

Opera on the Beach
Reviewed By jpminonHaving booked to attend the performance in open air of Peter Grimes, the famous opera of Benjamin Britain, by the" Wadopera" in Friesland we looked for an accommodation. Not easy due to the high demand. We found Van der Gang suites in Dokkum. Not an hotel but very well furnished and situated in the city center. Quiet if you can endure the ringing of the bell of a nearby steeple. Very good breakfast. Good value for money.

niet voor als je comfort zoekt
Reviewed By emes56vriendelijk koppel dat dit pand uitbaat. Wij betrokken een kamer op de bovenste verdieping met een wel erg steile trap. Als je een kamer zoekt met wat ruimte en comfort ga je beter elders. Ook is het erg warm onder het dak. Lekker ontbijt en prima gelegen vlak in het centrum.

Reviewed By 905lennyvMooi modern en netjes appartement. We hebben genoten. Eigenaresse is erg aardig en konden haar alles vragen. Appartement ligt midden in het centrum van Dokkum en is van alle gemakken voorzien. Echt een aanrader.
