Reviewed By kjeldo2016Agree with most of the 3 star ratings here. Hotel was under renovation, but the rooms look a bit dated and worn. Location is perfect only a short walk from the beautiful Tegernsee, and free parking is always nice Breakfast was great and sufficient in variety. Staff is a bit reserved but efficient and friendly.

Reviewed By Jacob FWe have stayed at the hotel for 7 nights in April 2013, and have enjoyed very much staying there. The service is excellent. The family members who run the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. They do their outmost to assist the guests. The breakfasts are very good. Our room was spacious, very clean, with a comfortable bed and wonderful views from the balcony and the windows. The location of the hotel is easy for arriving buy car, with good parking spaces. It is only a short walking distance from the lake. Bad Wiessee is a great place for vacation. This hotel gives a very good value for the price. We recommend this hotel very much, and would love to come back!

We couldn't have chosen a better place to make our headquarters while visiting all sights in the region i.e. all of King Ludwig's castles, Garmisch, Berchtesgaden, etc. etc.

Pleasant hotel, old-world atmosphere
Reviewed By Froggy2DenmarkOur double room at Hotel Askania had a balcony but no real view as it was on the side of the building. The room (room no. 18 on the 2nd floor) was quite large, old-style and quite charming in character. The bathroom was nothing special but OK. The lift is old and fairly noisy and we could hear it from our room because it was quite close to the lift. It didn't bother us too much, but for some this might be bothersome. Breakfast was fine, but we had dinner on one of the nights (we stayed for two nights) and it was not great. We know that German cuisine is not exactly renowned for its sophistication but to serve frozen vegetables and carrots from a glass jar in the month of July … that is hard to understand. Other than that, we had no complaints. The staff was friendly and we had a pleasant two-night stay.

Uncomfortable Stay, Horrible Customer Service, Disrespectful Manager
Reviewed By Arcticboy69We booked this hotel for a couple of night stay near Tegernsee in the mountains for €122 per night plus local taxes. On the first night, there was a problem with the toilet flush making noises continuously. We had the hotel "manager" coming up to our room 3 times until past midnight to try and fix this. When he could not fix it, he offered for us to move temporarily to another much worse room (smaller, no balcony, smaller bathroom with no bathtub, half as many windows) and suggested we leave our stuff in the first room and just come back the next day once they had the problem fixed. We accepted, but did not leave our stuff in the first room. The next day, we were told in the morning by the manager that they were fixing the problem. In the afternoon when we were leaving our room for a few hours, we were again told bz the manager that our old room should be ready by the time we get back. We came back later that night and were informed that they had "accidentally" given the room away. We were quite surprised by this. The next morning, we tried speaking to the manager and his tone and mannerism was distinctly different than before. It seemed quite obvious that giving our room away had been no accident. There was no apology, and we were offered absolutely nothing as compensation. Even insulted us by offering stupid hotel soaps for our troubles. I won't describe the entire exchange, but it resulted in us leaving that hotel very upset, stressed, and feeling disrespected. :-(

Reviewed By FReppekusConveniently located close to the lake‘s shore, Bellevue not only boasts spacious rooms with ample storage, large balconies and a table for two; the design manages to be traditionally rustic while being modern, airy and bright at the same time. The staff & the owners are very welcoming and uncomplicated, and go way beyond your typical 3-star experience, especially in service-mindset. Try having wine served in your room at half past ten elsewhere in this hotel category… To sum it up: A great, unexpected find I can only recommend!

Clean and Comfortable hotel close to Lake

The accommodation is clean and comfortable and located close to Lake Tegernsee and the amenities within the town. The continental breakfast is very satisfactory with cold meats, cheeses, breads, yoghurts, various cereals and fresh fruit with choice of juice or tea and coffee. It is also a very friendly hotel and we will be staying again this coming February. No hesitation in recommending this hotel and the location.

Coffee, tea available 24 hr and fridge with beer and wine for purchase. 10 min walk to the waterfront Nice breakfast provided. Possible to pay by credit card.
