She made sure the service was up to date and she is always prompt and very supportive The Thai-Chinese Night is beyond my expectations. All meals prepared by Sue Chef Mahmoud and Chef Tamadu also including one Thai chef were delicious. The best of sea food Tom Yam Soup and the cream of sea food were the best. Every time I come tp Sohar Radisson, I find a lot to taste and to enjoy. I cant stop without complementing Sameh the Restaurant attendant, He is very very polite and will serve excellently whatever I asked. Every time I come here, Sameh will come to receive us from the door and guide us to a table. He will even advise for the best starters. I really Solute Sameh. Ishaq Al Husni I liked his smiles and served us very well at breakfast. same to Rushdi, Sohar Radisson is always calling me back. Spa visit gone wrong
Reviewed By deepesh_mapcRecently I went for a massage at the in house spa after looking at the tariff card which mentioned a variety of massagea being offered. I opted for an Aromatherapy session expecting the massuese to have a conversation with me and finding out what essential oils would be used in my massage. None of this happened as the masseuse barely even spoke and just started the massage using baby oil (which I presume is used for all massages). Upon asking about aromatherapy (which i had opted and already paid for), I was given some answer which I could barely understand. But having already paid and bookwd the session, I just went along with it. The massage was very effective but not what I had wanted or hoped for in the first place. I write this review so that the management looks into this and either stop mentioning the aromatherapy option from the massage list or takes corrective action.

Huge, luxurious room in a beautiful building
Reviewed By Eurasiatraveller2014This is a very luxurious budget hotel located not too far away from the beach and Wadi Jizzi Park and relatively close to many shops, restaurants, cafés and coffee shops, but you should only stay here if you have your own car as it is not within practical walking distance of the town or its sights. The hotel is housed in magnificent buildings with heavy doors leading to areas and rooms that would not be out of place in any mansion or palace. The buildings are surrounded by date palm trees and other greenery and the hotel has both a swimming pool and a games room (with pool and table tennis tables) at its disposal. It also has a covered car park for keeping your vehicle. The room I was given was a huge family room for OMR20 a night including breakfast in the ancillary building which comprised of a living room cum bedroom, a second bedroom and a further room comprising of a washroom, shower room and a toilet. The living room consisted of a long comfortable settee suitable for 3 people to sit on and a matching armchair, a large table holding a kettle, drinking water, two cups and saucers with tea bags and sugar with 2 large chairs, a large fridge-freezer, a large TV mounted on a cupboard, a stand holding a telephone, lovely red curtains on 2 large windows with a large chandelier hanging from the ceiling. In this room, there was also a large double bed. There were many lights in the room which could be faded up and down at will. In the second room, there was a bedroom consisting of a second large double bed and an enormous double wardrobe supplied with clothes hangers and shelves. However, the doors were in dire need of some maintenance as the doors were too stiff to open and close much. In this room, there was also a lovely bedside table plus a smaller window with the same red curtains. In the very large washroom, there was a large washbasin with a huge mirror above it with shower gel and soap provided. Next to this room, there was a huge shower room with extractor fan. The very large shower head was fixed to the wall at great height and was, therefore, not suitable for those who do not wish to wash their hair when they take a shower. As a result, I found the shower rather inconveniently set up. There are, however, plenty of towels provided. Then next to this room, there was also a very large toilet with extractor fan, but which had a problem with the flushing since you needed great force to flush it while water kept on leaking out of the cistern permanently. There was breakfast provided on the 1st floor of the main hotel building, one floor up from reception every morning, although you can also have it delivered to your room. The breakfast consists of 3 pieces of toast with butter, cheese and marmalade, an omelette, a plateful of fruit, a bottle of water and a choice of tea or coffee. You need to give reception a 10-15 minute warning of when you want breakfast as it is prepared specially for you. The staff at the hotel are extremely obliging and will gladly clean the room for you as long as you let them know you require this. The WiFi works well while the room has centralised air conditioning which you can regulate yourself to cool down the interior, when required. I stayed 4 nights at this hotel and was extremely happy with it and would definitely stay here again next time despite a couple of problems : there is some constant noise that sounds like a washing machine churning clothes around or similar which did impact somewhat on my sleep quality; and the rooms were also prone to mosquitoes due to the surrounding environment. Still, it is a fabulous place to stay.
