Butterfly trail for the children to follow with iinteresting facts and activities along the way. Outdoor pool and jacuzzi.

It's an ideal port of call for visitors wanting to start adventurous trekking expeditions and excursions towards the peak of Jabal Shams Mountains. Reviewed By Monty SOn our Oman trip we stayed one night in the front premium cabins (#25 and #26). Indeed, the view is exceptional, in particular around sunset and during the night. Enjoy it either on your balcony, in the bathtub or swimming pool. Dinner was very tasty and our extra Indian dishes were freshly prepared at request without extra charges. The rooms were clean but need to be refurbished. During Ramadan lunch and breakfast was served in the room, hence the quality was not that great. However, all over all The View is a great place and recommended to be part of your trip in Oman.

Reviewed By SVanHeysteThey are crooks and not trustworthy! The hotel charged my visa card, without my permission, triple the room rate whereas it was already paid. While acknowledging their mistake and promising to refund it, they never did! In addition the hotel is worn down and should be refurbished!

Reviewed By AreyItsAyeshaHad the most wonderful stay at Nizwa Hotel Apartments. The room was spacious and has the most wonderful mattresses. Ours was a 2 bedroom apartment. The kitchen comes with necessary cutlery. The bathroom is clean and is maintained well. Its an hour away from Misfat Al Abriyyin, 10 mins from Birkat al Mouz, 20mins away from Nizwa Souq, and an hour or so away from Jabal Akdhar. All of these are places to visit around Nizwa and are highly recommended. Mr Anu, the Manager there is always there at your service, he is super helpful and kind, and would guide you to any restaurants and tourists places. The hotel also had a few tourist packages for jabal akdhar. Overall would highly recommend staying here, comfortable and hassle free.

Jebel Shams Resort is located in the Wilayat of Al Hamra which is part of the Ancient city of NIZWA. The Resort is built atop of the highest peak in Oman. Jebel Shams is known as "The Mountain of The Sun" and rises to an altitude of 3000 metres. The most amazing sunsets can be experienced from here. A 4 x 4 vehicle is the recommended form of transport to reach our location and takes approximately 40 minutes to ascend from the nearest town of AL-Hamra. The area is home to weavers of heavy woolen rugs in distinctive colours and geometric designs. The views of the Grand Canyon from Jebel Shams Resort are amazing, ideally situated just minutes walk away from the Canyon and some fabulous Trekking and Mountain Biking, just some activities available to our guests. The temperature in Summer is ideal, usually around 30 degrees Celcius, which makes it an ideal place for a weekend break from the heat of the city's of Muscat and elsewhere for weekend breaks or a great place to explore for visitors around the Globe. Please come and visit us at our retreat and enjoy a wonderful welcome from our staff and take in the fascinating view of the Grand Canyon and the entire plateau.

Reviewed By Tonyzac17Had 2 nights stay here and we were here to explore the Al Hajar mountains range and the nearby villages. To reach here one must be driving a 4WD vehicle and carry identification or will be stopped at the police check post at the base. This is a budget hotel but it doesn't compromise in cleanliness & other services they provide. Rooms are neat and reasonably spacious. The bathroom is clean and well equipped with all the basic needs. The staffs are friendly and helpful, they even have an Indian chef for those who enjoy Indian cuisine. There is even an open place for BBQ where we can cook for ourselves. The hotel is having a beautiful pool which resembles a shape of a guitar and is well maintained.

The dinner was nice and tasty, would probably recommend the Indian options and breakfast big hearty overdone serves. Needs a smarten up but adequate for an overnight stay.
