Reviewed By Juan GI loved this place. The kitchen is large and comfortable. They sell cold drinkls 24 hours. reception they give good information. They call the taxi if you need one. They speak good english. They advised me to go to good restaurants, museums and supermarket.

Rolling Stones hostel is located 50 metres away from one of the main streets of Irkutsk city - Karla Marksa st. Building was made of old-styled brick which is over then 120 years old. The hostel is oriented on ardent travelers and backpackers. In the hostel you can find a lounge area and an outdoor terrace. The hostel is full of interesting people and noisy groups of travelers - they create a unique atmosphere. Within walking distance of the important sights - monuments, museums, churches, squares and 130-district. Also - lots of bars, cafes and restaurants for Breakfast/lunch and for an unforgettable night partying.

Small family hotel is located in the historic city center in the 19th century building, which is an architectural monument. We used concept of this majestic building in our interior. The bricklaying and pieces of furniture of 19-20th centuries are kept. At the same time the hotel is equipped with all modern conveniences. Our hotel is located on Lenina street. It is the central city street. There is Omsk Academic Drama Theater, Assumption Cathedral, museums, restaurants, and shopping center near the hotel. There are rooms in our hotel: Double Room Comfort with one double bed and sofa, Duplex Room with two separate beds, Double Room Standard with one double bed, Single Room Standard. There is a cozy hall with a beautiful view of the city, lounge zone with fireplace, a large flat-screen TV, and dining tables. The kitchen is near the hall, it is equipped with hob, microwave, and fridge. Continental breakfast from 7-00 to 10-00 (at extra cost): coffee, tea, milk, yogurt, juice, fruit, hot meal option: sunny-side up eggs with sausages or porridge with fruits. Free for guests: drinking water, tea 24 hours a day. Laundry and ironing facilities, hairdryer. Around the clock-hour reception and luggage storage. Parking is in the hotel yard. The location is perfect (it is right in the center of the city with easy access to theatre, museums, restaurants, and night life). Everything is clean, bright, and super welcoming. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Reviewed By MaAnDoAlFor those traveling through Siberia as a family, this is your home away from home. During our 6-week trip through Russia, Hovel Hostel was by far our favorite place to stay. The design is cool, the rooms are clean (and not just hostel-style clean, we do mean clean), the staff is friendly, approachable and speaks excellent English. We stayed in the family studio with the loft bed, which gave us plenty of space to spread out as well as access to our own bathroom. This is not a party hostel, this is a well-run, welcoming and comfortable base for you to explore lovely Krasnoyarsk. We highly recommend it, and are sending our love to the crew at Hovel hostel!

Reviewed By rastikusExcellent location only 5 minutes from the city center and walkable 20 minutes from the train station. Staff doesn't speak English. They have 3 kitchens it is unusuall but bonus. Not stove unfortunately. otherwise OK.

Reviewed By BradatlsuBooked here because we found it on the internet. Walking in, the host (whose parents own the hostel) was one of the kindest and most helpful people we met in Russia. We are three americans who don't speak a lick of russian, and can't even read the alphabet, so it was very nice to have her assistance. The shower is AMAZING. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is large enough to cook a full scale meal in, and the living area is great. Oh, fast wifi. Overall, I wish more hostels would follow the lead of this one.

Really good to be a hostal
Reviewed By Juan SWell, when I saw the pictures in the booking page, I thought it looks really good to be true, but I thought that maybe they set it up to get good pictures, but then when I got to the place it was really good. The service it is great, the bedroom was really clean, the bathroom also was always clean. The living room was good enough to share with other travellers, last but no least the kitchen has everything to cook whatever you want and was always clean. It is perfect to travel to the Baikal lake, because it is just in front of the bus stop, and it is also next to the bus station, and the train station it is just 10 minutes away.

Great help from the staff
Reviewed By Greggo1321Felt compelled to write a positive review because of how much the staff helped us with getting taxis and arranging transport to far off places after our cars and drivers fell through at the last minute. That was despite a language barrier and needing to pass a phone back and forth with google translate. They really helped out and we appreciated it. As for the room, it was perfectly cozy and had unique decor but did feel a little bit outdated. The location was fine for our purposes and it was a great price overall.
