Casa Blanca, the only Hostel in Tarija, is run completely by its owner, in a house located in the historical center of the city, three blocks away from the city's main plaza. Near the hostel you can find traditional markets, supermarkets, restaronrants, pub`s and bar`s, banks, money exchange, pharmacies, health centers, laundromats and bus stops. This small Hostel offers a calm, relaxing and particular enviorment for its guests and welcoming and cozy feeling just like being home. The rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, the reception has a lock box for valuable objects, the bathrooms have hot water 24 hours a day, and our fully equipped kitchen has a refrigerator with enough space for all the food and drinks you might need or take. For breakfast and lunch the hostel offers a variety of coffee, tea, smoothies, juices, seasonal fruits, cakes, cheesecakes, pie, cookies, empanadas and pastries typical of Bolivia.In the courtyard we have a grill and hammocks, the living room has calm atmosphere to read, play chess, cards or board games. We have a library and book exchange and a public PC with over 250 gigabytes of music to share. In our minibar we have water, sodas, beer and wine from the region. Our staff is bilingual (Spanish-English) and have extensive knowledge of our country, we have 7 years of experience in tourism and we want Casa Blanca to be a gateway to Bolivia and is the reason why we offer different excursions to waterfalls, inca trails, lagoons, wine tours, bike rentals, extreme sports (downhill) and transfers between Tarija and Tupiza, Uyuni and Potosi. The owner, Ana, was exceptionally helpful and friendly. She arranged a wine tour for all our clients, was always super attentive and helpful in person and via WhatsApp, and all the other staff were very helpful as well. The place itself is full of character and well maintained, and very close to good restaurants and the city centre. There was a pretty solid breakfast available for BS15 per person, as well as a heater running throughout the day and night (we did the tour during Bolivian winter, so definitely important). All in all, well worth a stay, especially at its price point!

Reviewed By 1084liliancSo, hi again is that time of the year when I can write about hotels and hostels...yes, I'm on vacation mode...and this time I went to Bolivia, Isla del Sol. Beautiful place, very quiet and if you like nature you will love it. I spent the night in this beautiful place Inti Wayra, my room #8 the one with he most spectacular view of the Lake Titicaca, the room is very nice, the decoration loveeeed it. There is a book where you can leave your comments (I asked for a sign on the house), the person who is in charge, José, very nice man. He made me an amazing breaksfast and a coca tea to die for. This is a very very good option if you want to stay there.

Great hostel with amazing staff
Reviewed By RachelQuinn32I booked 2 nights here with my boyfriend and two friends thinking we would be having one rest day and then heading to the Salt Flats. Unfortunately, my boyfriend got altitude sickness and food poisoning so our plans changed a bit. We ended up extending our stay daily and stayed for 6 nights. The staff were amazing. They gave us tips on how to make him feel better and gave us details on nearby hospital, that luckily we didn’t need to visit in the end. The hostel is a short walk from the Main Street where you can buy food and souvenirs. The hostel itself is very clean and comfortable. The photos on Trip Advisor do not do it justice. It’s actually more aesthetically pleasing in person. The breakfast is one of the best we’ve had. From 8-10am they have fresh scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, milk, coffee, tea and watermelon. It was lovely! I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the Salt Flats in Uyuni.

Reviewed By Pascal SThe owner and stuff members are very supportive and they even know your name after two days. Best location in Sucre. The plaza is only 2 minutes by foot. From there you can find all bus connections to get to the sightseeing points outside the city. Hostel contains a cafe, bar and restaurant with amazing lunch specials.

The Greenhouse is a beautiful Sopocachi architecture, full of sunlight and a covered patio/bar and grill and bar that is perfect for relaxing after a long day. Our open kitchen is large and well equiped, ideal for travelers who enjoy home cooking. The Greenhouse offers confortable and affordable accommodation in Sopocachi, the most strategically located neighborhood in La Paz. Free breakfast consists of bread, butter, marmalade and tea, coffee or coca/chamomile infusion.

Reviewed By Julia_2636Excellent value for money. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. The only two things I didn't like was that couldn't bring beer from the outside because they sometimes don't have any beer left to sell :)))))) but what can you do AND there are no lockers. On the positive note it is very well situated close to a supermarket and the teleferico and also there are a lot of great restaurants around serving delicious food. Almost forgot that there is a very good kitchen area where people meet. Thank you Sergio and staff. Muchas gracias, I will stay again if I have a chance.

Lovely cheap hostel.

The internet (wifi) was fine, and the include breakfast was delicious. The hostel is a 15 min walk from the waterfront, which can be challenging if you have large bags. Finally, the staff were a delight and very helpful.

Breakfast was basic and the Spanish lessons were very good. I liked Gabrielle's teaching style and I would come back here if I visited Sucre

Reviewed By steinbecksterBooked this last minute as the favourite had sold-out due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Arrived late at night and checked in fine, no complaints, however after going to our rooms, the zircon was poor and the rooms were melting. bed linen was dirty and after 10 minutes in bed and getting bitten, i found bed bugs. My friend found the same and after complaining, we changed beds and found them again. We swapped rooms the next day and it was fine, however we were disappointed. The area the hostel is in seemed shady and wouldn't appear safe during the night and is about 20min away from the town square. The hostel doesn't offer food however has a kitchen you may use. Overall, wouldn't stay again.

Horrible stay & things got stolen out of my backpack. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND!

Some things got stolen out of my backpack while it was in the luggage room (i asked the owner before leaving my backpack if it was watched and i got confirmation). The owner is super rude and didn't take any responsibility for the stolen things. The location is not ideal. I would never recommend this place, especially not after my things got stolen & i got insulted by the owner.
