Hostel that could be a three star hotel with good service and very clean rooms and bathrooms. We have rooms single and double rooms with white cotton linens and halads. Despite shower and toilets are shared it's very clean. Our rooms don't have windows and you can sleep well any time. LES Hostel has very good location in the center of city, close to attractions, restaraunts and bisness centers.

Reviewed By Alina Z1. Double rooms are 9000KZT, single 6000KZT 2. Super convenient location (near Abay station, plenty of cafes and coffee shops around) 3. Double rooms are quite spacious, we stayed at Moscow room, which had a big bed, a sofa, a table, TV, a wardrobe and AC. Some of the rooms are even bigger, some are slightly smaller (eg Paris room). The only downside - no windows. 4. Shared shower rooms, but all of them are cleaned after each use. 5. Good selection of breakfasts (included in the price) 6. Great service - the staff were super attentive and pleasant. Overall best value for money you can get in Almaty, highly recommended!

New Hostel in Almaty - Samal Hostel. The hostel is modern European accommodation for a comfortable stay for a reasonable price. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly atmosphere. The hostel is equipped with everything necessary for comfortable living. We give out bed-clothes, we change once a week. On the territory of the hostel is forbidden to drink alcohol.

Но приехав и прожив там один день, я бы променял любой другой отель на этот хостел. Жил с иностранцами, очень общительные и приятные люди, дружелюбные и добрые. Персонал прекрасный ) Улыбчивые и отзывчивые) Очень понравился этот хостел. Не жалею о том что жил в нем. Жалко что так мало))

Sky Hostel has been operating since September 2014. Our friendly staff creates a family atmosphere and cleaning keeps the cleanliness and comfort of the hostel! We are located on the 11th floor of the building, from where there is an amazing view of nature and mountains! Every Friday (Holy Day in Islam ) bauryrsaki are given - the national bread of Kazakh cuisine. We organize a free walking tour to the Green Bazaar through a beautiful park "Arbat", where you can buy a variety of souvenirs. nuts, clothes and try traditional Kazakh dishes! Nearby is a surprisingly beautiful green park named after 28 Panfilov guardsmen and the Central Mosque of the city! We are looking forward to see you, dear guests! Welcome to Sky Hostel!
Very Good - Could Do With Improvements
Reviewed By Martin GThe best thing about this hostel is the roof terrace and the friendliness of the staff, who were very helpful and welcoming. The room we stayed in for 2 nights was clean and had a shared shower room next door. The roof terrace has superb views over the city, and although it’s nice, it could be even better. The decor is basic - wood palette seats and astroturf - but it feels neglected somehow and could be far more welcoming. I also had concerns that, being on the 11th floor, there’s not much in place to prevent people getting too close to the edge. I’m sure the majority of adults staying here are sensible enough to avoid a horrible accident, but there are only a few crates standing up in the way around part of the edge (not all). There is a small living area inside with a TV and a kitchen with fridge and balcony. All are fine, except I noticed improvements needed in the bathroom (broken electrical socket, shower tap loose, a hole in the wall with exposed pipes etc) and the kitchen had old food left and dirty surfaces. This may have been one untidy guest, but most hostels we’ve stayed at maintain a better standard of cleanliness. The atmosphere was good, and we felt well looked after by the staff; however, on both nights we stayed there were private parties on the terrace, which felt a little weird. We could still use the terrace, just not the area where the parties were. I think that, with some care and attention, Sky Hostel could really a highlight of someone’s trip.

FANTASTIC STAY AT A BEAUTIFUL HOME
Reviewed By KHANNA2014My family and I (6 adults+2 children) stayed at this beautiful house for 7 nights(25 october-1 november 2019).We booked the entire house.On the ground floor we had 2 normal double rooms with attached toilet/bath/TV/Fridge/wardrobe/dining table with chairs/writing table,etc.with central heating/air-conditioning.On the first floor there were 2 very large suites,huge bedrooms with living rooms.Everything that a tourist/visitor wants was available in the house.There was a garden outside and parking available.It is run by a fabulous Russian family,Alexandra,his father Vladmir and grandmother Baboushka.We were served breakfast of our choice,eggs/fresh salad/toast with butter,juices,tea,coffee,milk,home cooked and a hearty healthy breakfast.The family is very very nice,kind and very generous in their hospitality.If I or my family members visit Almaty we will not think of staying anywhere else.

The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook and also 2 fridges for you to store your items. Staff are very friendly and can speak English quite well. You can ask them for direction and sometimes they will help to arrange for you as well. The other travelers staying there also very cool. All in all, its worth to stay here and I will definitely coming back here if I ever make it back to Almaty.

Va preparando delante de ti un montón cosas ricas mientras estas desayunando. Además, te da muy buena conversación en tu idioma con su traductor de google desde el ruso. Se comparten los baños pero al ser un hostal pequeñito y al haber tantos baños, nunca nos encontramos con nadie y estaban siempre muy limpios. Dónde si coincidíamos con otros hospedados era en el comedor y pudimos conocer a personas muy interesantes. El hostal está a unos 15 minutos andando del centro. Pudimos ir a todas partes andando pero porque nos gusta mucho andar. Es una ciudad muy cómoda para andar porque es prácticamente plana.

Rude horrible staff

First day there no introductions when I arrived completely ignored. on the second day my clothes were thrown across the room on different beds and into other people's bags, I have missing clothes now because of this. The female worker was very demanding not understanding I was colour blind with a dumb colour system for their bed sheets. She ganged up on me with the male volunteer when I defended myself, every time I tried to rest she would moan at me. I just woke up haven't even said a word to anyone, she decides to kick me out on the street so I had to sleep rough for a night until my funds came through to go somewhere else. I was in floods of tears because of her bullying actions. I didn't even feel comfortable being in the same room with her so I would avoid being at the hostel for too long. Nobody considered how I was feeling. I turned down extra time in Kyrgyzstan to be there, I wish I had stayed there now.

There is free wi-fi in the whole territory of the Hostel. All rooms have lockers where you can keep your valuables. Also guests can use the shared kitchen with microwave, refrigerator and all necessary dishes.

Hostel "Alma Cinema" is a combination of comfort and home comfort with European quality. Our hostel is located in the center of Almaty, just two minutes walk from the Palace of the Republic. Also within walking distance is the Kok Tobe Park. Three minutes from the hostel - hotel "Kazakhstan" and the cinema "Arman", just not far Trade and Moll "Dostyk Plaza". Near the hostel a large number of different cafes and restaurants with a variety food.

Reviewed By mizrahiavimustiMe and my friend stayed for couple nights at double room. We really enjoyed our stay. Room clean enough, staff ( Girl Manager ) super friendly and very kind. Breakfast yummy. We love walking so it was okay for us walk from metro station ( 10 minutes )
