I and my two girls - aged 10 and 14 - are horseback riders at home in Istanbul. This place was recommended to us by a Romanian lady who used to live and work in Istanbul. Mihai and Bianca are no ordinary hosts. They welcome you with open hearts as if you are a distant relative. The horses are wonderful - very good breeds - and they select the right horse for you. The nature is incredible. You ride for 3 hours to arrive at the next village. In between, you only see plains, forests and fields with incredible fauna. You encounter deers, foxes, bird life and even bear paw prints on your way. No fences, no buildings in sight until you reach the next village. It is pure paradise and a cultural delight. Mihai knows what pace to take, whether to trot or canter or even gallop depending on your level and the mood of the horses (and sometimes your own mood). The cooking is home cooking and delicious. My girls enjoyed all food presented to them and so did I. The farm has a range of different dogs and is therefore perfect for kids to play when not on horseback. Congrats to such achievement and conservation efforts! We will surely come back soon.
