May 21, 2021 Vivienne Hutton

Yokohama is easily accessible from Tokyo, but there’s enough to see and do here that it’s worth more than a day trip. Visit Minato Marai 21, a popular, modern neighborhood with great shopping and tons of restaurant options. TripAdvisor travelers also recommend stopping at Big Wharf (Osanbashi Pier), a uniquely shaped pier with spectacular views.

Nipponmaru Memorial Park

Reviewed By lescrodel - Greensborough, Australia

This area is deceptive, very long walks so be prepared with a sun umbrella in summer. The park has lots to see and do for everyone, but it is a Japanese based location, ie focuses on tourism for domestic travelers, despite seeming as though it is international. Do not let this put you off, by time the olympics is up and running (pun intended), this will be a fun place to visit. The Nissan ca display and the amazing modern architecture is the attraction here, but also the sunsets- do not miss, just keep cool in summer!
