Great spot for biking. Only did the blue and the skills area with myself and my 6 and 8 year old (husband also did the red). Comparisons to Whinlater are, the blue is slightly more challenging to the blue at Whinlatter, but fast flowing and good fun. The red was enjoyable and challenging (it was wet). Being a compact area means we can repeat the same route, which builds technique and confidence, same with the skills park, ranging from lovely kids pump track to bigger drop offs/jumps The staff at the bike shop were fabulous too, very helpful, and relaxed with good advise.

Being fitted with the correct size of an e-bike. Not much of a cyclist I was rather apprehensive before arriving as my husband does like to keep on going!! But after we were shown the ins and outs of all the speeds my confidence was on a high. A very wet afternoon and a map in hand we set off up to conquer Neptunes Staircase locks after the guy in the shop showed us the way plus a few extra miles. Thoroughly had a great afternoon, and managed a little over 20 miles, had the top speed on the way back as the wind was so strong along with the driving rain. Definitely would recommend.

Progression Bikes

A great shop in Dunkeld, at the heart of the cycling in Perthshire. Bikes for hire, sales, servicing and repairs, guiding and coaching, uplifts, clothing and locally sourced coffee. Whether you want a short cycle along the river with the family, a trip into the hills with a packed lunch or guiding on the technical hidden single track, we have the lot!

Reviewed By HEK17 - Edinburgh, United Kingdom

We hired two e bikes and used Adam's recommended route from Dunkeld to Pitlochry. Great day out and although we had our own bikes with us, hiring e bikes allowed the more senior member of the party (+55!) and the young lady who was recovering from a slipped disc(!)....to keep up with the 20something semi professional rugby player and experienced cyclists......making it great fun for all!
