10 Fun Activities & Games in Friedrichshain That You Shouldn't Miss

April 20, 2022 Milan Banda

Berlin is an edgy city, from its fashion to its architecture to its charged political history. The Berlin Wall is a sobering reminder of the hyper-charged postwar atmosphere, and yet the graffiti art that now covers its remnants has become symbolic of social progress. Check out the Weltzeituhr (world time) Clock, topped by a model of the solar system, then turn back time by dining at the historic Zur Letzten Instanz, a 16th century restaurant that was frequented by Napoleon and Beethoven.

I loved the location and atmosphere of this show. It's right next to the iconic East Side Gallery, and the Floating Lounge is an actual boat on the Spree. I loved being able to watch the sunset with a beer in hand in between the two halves of the show. And the show is nice and fast-paced. You get to see a lot of different comedians in a relatively short amount of time. This is a great thing to do before heading out to Friedrichshain bars for the night--the show puts you in a good mood for a good night out.

Tilsiter Lichtspiele - Programmkino & Kneipe

Nice little arthouse cinema with two screens and a pub (Kneipe) which serves beer from its own micro brewery. Second oldest cinema in Berlin, its origin dates back to the year 1908. Very good choice of movies, all non-German movies are in original language. A very cosy place anyway.
