Wonderful treasure trove of items from the past.I spent the best part of a day looking around reminiscing the past, looking at items from my childhood. Spread over 3-4 floors there was lots to see, I will have to go back to finish off. So next time I have a few hours to spare, I'm going back! I mean hours!!

Fantastic pub, amazing landlord and landlady, always busy. You can have a 3 course meal - pickled egg starter, Popadoms main and quavers for pudding. Really well kept beer. Fantastic karaoke nights occasionally supported by an amazing local choir ;)

Visited the gallery to see the display of watercolours by local artists and was impressed by the variety and quality - met a local artist and was made very welcome by the gallery staff. Small well curated shop and drinks available, Accidentally bought a painting which I am delighted with! Well worth a visit on a walk around the lovely Ely. I'll be back.

Prince Albert

The Prince Albert is a often referred to as Ely's 'Proper Pub'. Expect to find 6 cask ales served, all kept very well, 3 of which are rotated on a monthly basis. The pub has had a recent refurbishment but has retained its traditional charm. It has also started offering good quality, freshly prepared food at lunch times from Monday to Saturday and in the evening from Monday to Friday. If you are looking for a comfortable, traditional and friendly pub that serves good beer and good quality food then visit the Prince Albert.
