Pine Tree Alpacas

Reviewed By 730alyshac

I recently went here with my sister for her 19th birthday. I’m 28 and we both had an amazing time. We booked the alpaca experience which included an informative talk about alpacas and their wool, a 45 minute walk and feed with the alpacas and hot drinks and biscuits afterwards overlooking the lake. There’s a lovely little shop with loads of alpaca stuff to buy and we were made to feel really welcome as we stayed there for about another 45 minutes. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone no matter what age. The alpacas are amazing and such funny little characters. To top it off you also get a free video with photos and videos set to music sent to you afterwards. This was a really nice surprise. Thanks so much to Lisa and Nick for being so welcoming on your lovely farm ????

Visited Farndon Fields farm shop to use a couple of gift vouchers my wife’s sister gave us as a present for our Golden wedding anniversary, I’ve never been a fan of afternoon tea most hotels I’ve eaten afternoon tea are a bit of an afterthought and highly priced at that. However this is not the case at Farndon Fields their version of afternoon tea is of a different order perfectly sized sandwiches fresh home made scones just the right amount of jam and clotted cream, beautiful two bite cakes of a high quality sweet pastries made with all butter with a superb macaron, we enjoyed this with a nice bottle of Prosecco. Would we visit again absolutely my wife wants to try the savoury version.

Stonehurst Family Farm and Museum

This was our first visit and it was amazing, the children really enjoyed the day and there was plenty for them to do. I would give it more stars if I could 10/10 Recomend. We were met with a warm welcome as soon As we arrived, the young lady at the entrance booth was very nice and polite, and the gentleman in the farm shop was a delight so ingaging and friendly, we will definitely be returning to visit again. The food, drinks and snacks are very reasonable and the entrance fee is great value with no extra cost for ponyrides. Our children are 4 and 5 but there is plenty for all ages to do. Thankyou for a great day Stonehurst Farm.

Manor Farm Park & Woodlands

Animal Farm park. Wide selection of animals, indoor and out door play, lake, nature trail and woodlands, cafe and bistro

Reviewed By IAN265310 - Loughborough, United Kingdom

We visited earlier in the week for the first time and were very impressed! Fortunately the weather was in our favour which added to a good time. We were very pleased with the Covid measures adopted at the park and the general level of cleanliness! There were a good range of animals to see and although one or two activities were currently postponed this did not detract from our day. The staff were very friendly and helpfull, the Antlers bistro served good food at very reasonable prices and it was lovely to sit on the veranda in the sunshine! We will return!

Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary

Reviewed By Cheese_Me

Our little boy was being shielded so couldn’t go out anywhere public but loves animals. Red gate we’re absolutely amazing to us. They allowed us to come in when the place was closed and left us alone to go around and see the animals. Our son adored it and they were so, so good to us. I’m incredibly grateful. The place is wonderful, they do an amazing job looking after the animals and it’s wonderful for children to see them close up, to be able to feed them and generally to be part of something so wonderful. They have lots of goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, geese, a turkey, cats, etc. It’s like being able to visit and play in a farmyard, brilliant for little ones. And thank you so much for being so great to us

Been to see the lovely ladies at the alpaca farm today. Went to the wool shop got what I wanted (as always). I have been very disappointed in reading some of the reviews, I'm starting to think I must be going to a different farm. As I have never been disappointed with the staff the food or with the atmosphere, it's very clean and tidy. I have been going from day 1 and have recommended and taken friends. There is no where better then on a lovely sunny day to sit out the back with a coffee and cake and watch all the birds coming to feed.
