Huaraz dates back to before the Incan Empire and is a great destination for travelers looking to combine cultural education with relaxation. Explore archaeological sites and the ancient stone monoliths at the Museo Regional de Ancash. Squeeze into narrow Duck Canyon or, for a challenge with a massively beautiful payoff, hike a mountain trail in Huascarán National Park.

The pickup was spot on, and the bus was comfortable. The hike is self guided so you are basically paying for the transportation. Hence I recommend taking this tour over the more expensive private tours. As for Laguna 69, it's an absolute must-do! Stunning views leading up to an even more stunning lake. It's a 14 km trek back to base. Make sure to acclimatize a day before as you are going up to 4600 masl

Depart from Huaraz to Caraz the last city of Callejon de Huaylas valley and then we will take the unpaved road until the trek starts (Laguna Paron), in total about 3 hours with the final parts within the conservation area of Huascarán National Park. On the shore of Laguna Paron is the parking point of our vehicle. The trail starts along the northern shore of Laguna Parón until near the end of the lake, then we will take a path that heads towards the valley towards Artesonraju (also known as “Paramount”). In this part we will be crossing several rivers and streams to reach the path that leads to the Artesoncocha lake (4,290m). From the lake we have the opportunity to climb a little higher to get even better panoramic views of the mountains that surround us (mountains called Caraz, Artesonraju, Paria, Garcilaso, Chacraraju and Pisco). This charming place is the point for our lunch and then return along the same path to our vehicle that is waiting to take us back to Huaraz.

Inclusions: Lunch, Private transportation, All Fees and Taxes

Exclusions: Snacks, Bottled water, Breakfast

I did both the Laguna 69 and the Pastoruri glacier tour with Peru Qorianka -unforgettable experiences! Romer was very friendly and showed me all the possible hikes tours in the region. Fair prices and a good service, I'd definitely recommend the agency (and Romer and Ana's B&B, Casa de Ana)!

Great adventure. Used Johnny’s tours from Huaraz Peru. We went from rain to hail to wirlwinds eith hsil to snow. It is the smallest of the glaciars but a great adventure to climb it. It is a 3 mile climb in below zero temperatures. Dress accordingly.

Edgar Zombrano. is a thief. DO NOT BOOK WITH FIRST CLASS HUARAZ!!!!!. After I paid I never heard back from Edgar Zombrano or anyone at First class Huaraz. I called First Huaraz and Edgar Zombrano multiple times but there was no answer. I sent emails and text messages and still no reply. I decided to call my credit card company so I can get a refund. But first class Huaraz told them that it was a legit purchase because I voluntarily gave them my credit card information. and that they booked a hotel and bus tickets for me. when I called the hotel, and the bus company had nothing under my name. Also, I agreed with Edgar Zombrano on a different hotel than the awful hotel he claims he booked for me. DO NOT GIVE THIS PEOPLE any of your personal information. if you want to go to Huaraz, book everything on your own and find a tour guide once you get there. This is what I will do. so sad there are these horrible people in this world.
