Jordan (/ˈdʒɔːrdən/; Arabic: الْأُرْدُنّ‎ Al-‘Urdunn [al.ʔur.dunn]), officially The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Arabic: المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية‎ Al-Mamlakah Al-Urdunnīyah Al-Hāshimīyah), is a sovereign Arab state in western Asia, on the East Bank of the Jordan River. Jordan is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south, Iraq to the north-east, Syria to the north, Israel and Palestine to the west. The Dead Sea lies along its western borders and the country has a small shoreline on the Red Sea in its extreme south-west, but is otherwise landlocked. Jordan is strategically located at the crossroads of Asia, Africa and Europe. The capital, Amman, is Jordan's most populous city as well as the country's economic, political and cultural centre.

Home Cooking and Dining Experience Tour at Beit Sitti House

Beit Sitti is located in one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Amman, Jordan. An old Authentic House where you come and learn how to prepare a 4 course Arabic meal then you eat the dishes you made. The only way to get to experience Amman, Jordan as a true Jordanian...

We joined a class at Beit Sitti on our last night in Jordan before heading to the airport. We drove and were able to park on the street right outside. The style of the class is ‘interactive demo’ whereby some aspects everyone in the class participates and other aspects are performed by individual members of the group. Together the group makes a large meal for everyone to share at the end of the class. We had our class and meal outside on the terrace which was a great setting. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic which really made the experience. We loved the food we made - it was definitely our favourite meal in Jordan - everything was fresh and delicious. Definitely recommended!
