Cabin was clean and the sunset was spectacular. However the bbq had not been cleaned for what looked like years. The dirt was corroded in the racks. I certainly would not cook anything on it. Food in Bovavista was terrible.

Stay here in Raleigh. Wonderful area.

Wonderful place if you have dogs. With limited options in St Anthony, we were really happy with Rsleigh as a picturesque place to explore the area. We stayed in the vacation house and wow, it was well equipped. Photos online don't do it justice. Get it rather than the two bedroom if you can.

Comforts of home

This was our third visit to Corner Brook where we stayed at the chalets. The chalets offer you a place to stay that is as comfortable as being home. We were able to spend time visiting with family and then come home at night for a good rest. Very clean and roomy. It’s nice to actually have a chair to sit on verses the side of the bed if you are at a hotel. Being able to prepare your own meals in the kitchen is a great bonus. I would like to see a bit more silverware and dish ware in the cabins as there is not quite enough if you are looking to have guests in for a meal. My only other suggestion would be for the driveway / parking areas be maintained better to reduce the many pot holes and ruts you must try to avoid. That being said it won’t keep me from booking again as I find the chalets a great place to stay. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I look forward to a return visit to Corner Brook and once again staying at the Appalachian Chalets.

Basic Accomodation, But Just What We Needed

Stopped here overnight on our way from Deer Lake to L'anse aux Meadows, breaking up what would have been a very long drive into two more manageable legs. Mountain Waters was perfect for this. We stocked up on groceries in Deer Lake so we'd have more selection than at other grocery stores along the way. Once at Mountain Waters, we found our cabin meticulously clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We took a quick walk down to the Portland Creek Pond and then relaxed in the comfy chairs on our porch. All of the staff were very friendly and easy-going.

What a place ❤ Me and the family stayed in one of the cabins on the hill with spectacular views. Really comfortable beds. Ruth & Paul are wonderful hosts who treat you like family. They took us on an ATV tour to the beach - amazing. Also enjoyed a great concert by the great Terry Hynes at their annual seafood festival. Definitely treat yourself and check this place out!!

Disappointment

Reviewed By NewfieGirl83

The food was ok but everything else was sketchy. They have not kept up the property at all - we were unsure of safety of pool and playground. Instead we ate and played mini golf. It is very smelly too as there are farm animals on the property. I would not recommend stopping here.
