Great for skiing holiday
Reviewed By alan jArrived at the hotel Platz and immediately felt this hotel was right for us, nice bedrooms and immaculately cleaned plenty of storage. Perfect location for the slopes a bit of a drag walking to the loft station in ski boots and carrying skis, but it's only about 10 minutes walk so no problem if not in skiing gear, we got around this problem by catching the ski bus which stopped next door and they were pretty frequent. Also I have to mention the meals were excellent and the staff were very friendly, we have booked already for next year.

Very nice hotell
Reviewed By niki169We stayed in this wonderful hotel for three days of skiing. Very fresh. Nice sauna and pool. Outstanding staff and good restaurant. It is only a 300 m walk to the lift. Will highly recommend the place.

Shower was very uncomfortable: one moment scolding hot and the other moment freezing... also not ideal we had to hold the shower because the shower window was fit on the wrong side. Nice swimming pool, sauna and steam bath. Pity the last two could only be used after 16.00 o’clock.

Ski trip with school
Reviewed By Sophiemcc101The hotel itself is nicely decorated and looks very nice. I went here on a ski trip with my school, there was 66 of us total. We had the whole ‘hotel’ to ourselves. The pool was nice and the rooms were fine. There was no soap in the bathrooms when we arrived and we were not provided with any for the whole trip. We stayed for 6 nights! Every student on the trip felt the same about the food. It wasn’t good quality and it looked like the food was just thrown on the tray when given to us. The breakfasts was fine but it was the dinner we were unhappy about. There was no table cloths on the tables at all and you had to clean up after yourself and bring over your plates after eating which we didn’t really mind. The food was served to each table on a silver scratched tray and we would take our own amounts off. We got a starter which was a soup or broth with different fillings each day. And the main course. We didn’t get to choose our food as it was decided by our teachers. You can see the quality of food wasn’t good as shown in the pictures below. It’s also in the middle of nowhere and there are no shops or restaurants near by so you have to take a bus to the village. The actual area is gorgeous and the views are amazing. My only problem was the food and staff as they acted a different way around the students than to the teachers. The food was a big disappointment and I will not be returning here.

Excellent not only Austrian vegan food, a heart-warming atmosphere created by the friendliness of the owners and waiters and a new big garden will make your stay very special! Although it‘s nearly an hour for us by car, we go there as often as possible! Dogs welcome! ??

Wir bieten ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet und viergängige Abendmenüs. Im Sommer bieten bei guter Witterung gibt es wöchentlich einen gemütlichen Grillabend auf unserer Terrasse. Freie Benutzung der Gondelbahnen ab einem Tag Aufenthalt inklusive (Sommercard). Im Winter ist der Skibus in der Seilbahnkarte enthalten.

Das Abendessen ist ein Genuss und sucht seinesgleichen, Nachschlag gibt es wann immer möglich. Preis und Leistung stimmen. Für Urlauber welche das gute bürgerliche suchen eine Top Adresse.

The rooms are beautifully appointed with lovely comfortable beds and quality linen and the views from the windows and balconies are to die for. Ideally situated for children or nervous skiers - the slopes are literally a stones throw from the hotel and if tobogganing or flood lit skiing is your wish then its just been granted! Rainer serves up a lovely cooked breakfast with a happy smile and a sunny side up egg and there are a multitude of cereal, breads, pastries, fruit, cold meats and cheese to choose from. We absolutely could not fault this hotel - not surprising though as the Silberberger family have been taking superb care of their guests for years - and it shows. We cannot wait to return and are so grateful for the superb service offered. Thank you Hotel Marchfeld we love you.

Very special place to stay
Reviewed By Penny PBlissfully beautiful and peaceful when the lift shuts at 5pm and the walkers have descended. Can’t understand why visitors descend and don’t stay the night, perhaps I should be keeping this a secret. It’s completely different when the lift opens again and people return after 9am the next day! We are on half board: breakfast and especially the evening meals are excellent. The rooms are large, comfortable and exceptionally clean, they all have balconies with amazing views. You have to love cow/goat bells, although they do go quiet after dark. If you do feel the need to descend, the lift pass is free for the duration of your stay. We will definitely be returning.

Reviewed By Equi NStayed a night for a school trip, quite the pleasant stay. Food wasn't anything special, but not terrible. Rooms were tidy and clean, though some bathrooms were quite old. One of the main setbacks would have to be the lack of wifi connection. In terms of setting, it's got a nice, quiet location in the mountains.
