Excellent location with rooms overlooking the water
Reviewed By Melanie BOur room was very comfortable, with a large kingsize bed - on the second floor. Windows looked out onto Lake Villarrica. We had the rooftop deck to ourselves - it had awesome views toward the volcano. Hotel is very clean and modern, with excellent staff. Loved the decor. Breakfast is varied - a really good spread.

Reviewed By Henriette WWe stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the Villarrica and Pucon area and this was probably the cleanest of all places we’ve stayed during our 4 weeks of travel through Chile. We had a spacious room and shared bathroom, but were the only guests (as far as we know, never saw anybody else) and had the bathroom to ourselves. The owner was friendly and helpful and speaks english well. We opted for making our own breakfast and had full use of the kitchen. Location is good, near restaurants and the beachfront. I would stay here again if I happen to tour Chile again in future, which I would really like to do!!

Reviewed By VictoriaVamosI normally do not write reviews on the places where I have stayed, but I feel compelled to write this one. Merken Bead and Breakfast is a one of a kind place. Villarrica was my first stop in Chile and I had the privilige to stay here. From the luxurious bedrooms, beautiful and open landscapes, to the incredibly friendly hosts, Irene and Marcelo, this is the place to be. The included breakfast was delicious everyday, and fulfilling, and Marcelo was there to help me with anything I needed in regards to tourist activities, seeing as I do not speak a lick of Spanish. Marcelo and Irene really make you feel at home, and as if you are the only guest, even though there were many when I visited. They make you feel important and welcomed, something that is hard to find these days. I 110 percent recommend Merken Bead and Breakfast if you are planning on visiting Chile. You should make it a point of your trip to visit the south and stay at this wonderful resort. 12/10 recommended!

Reviewed By Marcel vThe foto's on booking.com are taken from their best room. We booked and got a kind of big cupboard behind with a tiny bed and a tiny bathroom. It's not worth the money! Even though the staff is friendly, they tend to forget you. Sorry but I know hostals that prove more and better for less money. Booking.com should better investigate their providers, especially in Chile!!!

Reviewed By Nathieviajando12Nos encanto el hotel. Es un hotel pequeño con todas las comodidades excelente en pareja. Tiene muy buen gusto en decoración, las habitaciones con cómodas, con calefacción. El desayuno es típico y delicioso y contundente. Todo el personal del hotel es muy amable y cariñoso . Los dueños del hotel son personas muy atentas , siempre están pendientes de los detalles , lo que hace de la estadía maravillosa. El hotel queda ubicado en una loma a 10 minutos en auto del centro de Villarrica por lo tanto es silencioso y se puede pasar unos días de relax total. Hay arriendo de bicicletas .

We arrived early, they let us leave our luggage, but later found out the place was empty so could have got straight into our room but this was not offered. When we did get in the bathroom had a very strong smell in the (mouldy and horrible) bathroom of bleach and acetone!? There was nowhere to put luggage or hang up clothes...not even a chair. The room was cold and damp with no heater so I went down to ask for one and she gave me a tiny wee electric fan heater which would hardly have warmed up my big toe. At this point, I decided not to stay here and we walked out just cutting our losses on our 3 night booking. Happily we went to Pucon and a fab hostel called Hola. This place had no kitchen or common room either - why it calls itself a hostel I do not know. It is a guest house without breakfast or basic amenities. AVOID.

Reviewed By Julia VThis is an older property, but has so much charm. Beautifully landscaped, stunning views of the lake. Bed linens were so high quality I just loved going to bed at night. Breakfast was included every morning and served in a lovely room that opens to the large porch. It felt like we were staying with friends, not at a hotel.

Reviewed By SeineLadyWe stayed here for 2 nights. To begin, the place was very difficult to find. Hostel Moller is not centrally located and there is very little road signage...this combined with poor maps in an exercise in frustration, especially if you have a rental car. The owners should or ought to be aware of this obstacle and provide detailed directions for you via email upon confirmation of all guest stays. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival by Giessela and presented with a nice desert treat. The bedrooms and bathrooms are older and worn. The first night the bed was so hard my body hurt and that awful bed combined with the crappy pillow(s) I consider this the worst night spent in Chile. I seriously wonder if these owners have ever spent a night in those beds. I double dog dare them to sleep in those beds! Good luck. I requested the other queen or matrimonial room and that was barely better. Place is clean, not sure if sheets and towels are changed daily. Showers barely adequate. Old fashioned hand held shower with no prop on top and with no pressure. Try to hold the shower head and wash your hair or scrub your body with only 1 hand! Lots of fun with no pressure and cold water. There are some things that one requires when travelling and that is a both a good bed to provide a night’s sleep and a shower. Hostel Moller has neither. Even the neighborhood dogs barked all night with no reprieve. Lovely well maintained yard with view of local volcano, very nice to sit outside. The hostel is nicely decorated Chilean style. Breakfast is ok though I don't understand why they serve canned fruit cocktail when surrounded by the world's best and freshest fruit?
