This Homestay is managed by an Indian family and those who like to stay with a family and share the culture and taste freshly made home cooked vegetarian food would like it here very much.A traditional Indian house built in 1936, with complete teakwood work and antique hand carving workmanship on the doors, windows, decorations and furniture. Lots of open space for natural sunlight and air, and a beautiful small garden. Beautiful seat in garden in the front.

Reviewed By MarquisDebroloGreat place to stay when in Varanasi. The rooms overlook the Ghat and Ganges river. River facing rooms on the 2nd floor are best because they have a outdoor deck. Breakfast, which is included with the price of the room was delicious. Just a few steps away from the Ganges. The small winding streets of Varanasi are a little confusing at first so I would suggest paying a little extra to have the hotel arrange the taxi from the airport, when they pick you up their staff come out to the main road, carry your luggage and guide you to the hotel. I'm not giving this hotel a 5 star rating because I think its a 5 sta.r luxury hotel, its not! The entire place could use a fresh coat of paint and our toilet seat was broken. You probably wouldn't like Varanasi if hat was you were looking for. This place is great because of the attentive staff and location, location, location! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

Reviewed By 11AitorThe hotel is very central just 10 minutes walk from one of the most important ghats in Varanasi. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The price is somewhat higher than average but the hotel is worth it. It has a restaurant where we have breakfast and dinner. The food was fine, just fine, but there are no many places for tourists to eat in Varanasi, at this hotel is a good option.

Amazing location and the best host you could ask for
Reviewed By timzepMarigold Guest House is an excellent choice for budget accommodation in Varanasi. The modest rooms were well-kept and clean, and the bathrooms were super clean! The location is sensational, right near the main ghats, but far enough to feel away from the crowds. Incredible restaurants are merely 1-minute walk away and the river view from the roof is lovely. But without a doubt, the best feature of this guest house is the host, Sonu. A down-to-earth and honest man, he was quick and clear with communication right from our first enquiry. We got lost in the alleyways (google maps is a bit unreliable in that area), but he gave clear directions to help us find the property. He gave us invaluable advice on the ghats, the area and where to find decent food and shops. He was also able to help us arrange boat tours, ceremony viewing seats and transport to the airport. In future I will get him to arrange a transfer from the station to the guest house as well, his transport option was excellent. I could tell he wants to give his guests a great experience and wants to give honest business to other local businesses. There's no funny nonsense with this guest house, it's all legit. And finally, a highlight of our time in Varanasi was the morning boat ride with Sonu. He really is a great tour host. His English is excellent and his lifetime experience and passion for Varanasi shines through. The information was interesting and well explained, and all questions were answered honestly and openly. This morning boat tour is HIGHLY recommended! We had some great conversations with Sonu and as a result, left with a deeper appreciation of Varanasi. Now THAT is a host!

good for one night stay
Reviewed By sanju_222323while reaching there through narrow 'famous' streets, we all were cursing who booked this hotel. we were a party of 7 with senior citizens with luggage ( Indian tourist :P ) and reaching here was one hell of a task. though they provided one helper that wasn't enough. Everybody was huffed & puffed when reached here and annoyed, of course. We had booked an AC room, it was on the first floor, the basic room, not completely clean though, as we can see the dust on the desk, but yeah, I can manage. The same goes for the bathroom. Price- it was not much. Location: yup it was good, 10 min walking to Temple Gate#4, 3 min walking to Meer ghat and 5 min walking to the main road. The reception guy was very helpful, helped us to book the cab to DDU station ( it was a curfew in the night, April 2021). They also have a tie-up with Alka restaurant and we ordered our dinner from there, both days. Food was great, no doubt in that. The only con part is location, otherwise, it's good.
