10 Bed and Breakfast Inns in Rhodes Town: Best hotel deals for 2023

May 18, 2023 Darleen Reid

The largest of the twelve Dodecanese islands on the Aegean's eastern edge, Rhodes is also its most popular. The well-preserved medieval city of Rhodes sits at the north of the island of the same name. High rise hotels line the northern and eastern coastlines. Small villages and resorts dot the island's other shores. Whether your interests are beaches, bars or ancient sites, Rhodes offers an abundance of all three. Authentic Greece can be found in the hilly interior of the 50-mile long island.

We wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend. The decor in the hotel public areas and the rooms is simple and modern, breakfast is lovely. Fabulous location within easy walking distance of shops, old town, port, restaurants, bars, etc but on a very quiet street.

Absolutely Excellent Service

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful hotel, which is right in the middle of Rhodes Old Town, for 6 nights in May 2022. As many other reviews have stated, this is THE place to stay in Rhodes. All of the staff, from the cleaners upto the management, were so friendly and helpful and did their respective jobs perfectly and with a smile on their faces. Special mention must be given to the two receptionists - Fay and Skiadeni - who gave us the best service that we have ever received in over 50 years of international travel. Nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed for 5 nights in the Jasmin suite at the Rodos Niohori Boutique Hotel. From the minute we stepped into the courtyard my heart sang, it was so beautiful and truly matched, if not surpassed, all the pictures of it we had seen online. Spacious, immaculately clean and tasteful with a welcoming fruit basket and bottle of Rhodian wine as we arrived. The hotel is in a busy tourist area, but as soon as you enter a peace descends and you are surrounded by tranquility and beauty. The breakfasts are delicious and are prepared and served with such grace and kindness by Violetta, who deserves much praise, nothing was too much trouble for her, she made our stay so special. All the hosts, Georgios, Joanna and Violetta were fantastic, and communication with them was excellent. The work and thought that has gone into converting the building into 3 hotel suites and providing such a welcoming place to stay on Rhodes, make it a delight. Forget your big hotels, this place is the real deal, and small really is beautiful. Thank you to everyone, we will remember our time at the Rodos Niohori for a long time to come. ❤???

FABULOUS BAR/RESTAURANT!!!

Reviewed By miaindubai

My friend and I, stumbled across this little gem, which was close to our Air BnB. We had not really liked the look of the touristy styled restaurants and bars in the centre, so this was an amazing find! Firstly, it had cute outdoor seating, beautiful old building with fine features, mosaics on floor etc. secondly, the meze plates , drinks (some complimentary ie MASTIKA one night) and breakfasts were exceptional! And LASTLY but most importantly, the welcome from 'the boys' CHRISTOS and SERGIOS (sorry, spelt name wrong, I am sure) was spectacular. Welcoming, funny, laid back, chilled, what great ambiance. What a chilled vibe and especially with their own jazz style music, which fitted the place beautifully. Especially if you are arriving stressed from your life and need to just relax. My friend Julie and I could not recommend this place highly enough. We felt that we had left old friends on the last day. This place really made our trip memorable. I hope the boys get to read this.

The Allegory Boutique hotel is a small boutique hotel in the island of Rhodes, located in the Medieval Old Town and ideally situated close to St Athanasios Gate. It exemplifies the architecture of the area and is a member of "Yades Greek Historic Hotels" and "Historic Hotels of Europe". You must stay here!

We are here for our last of 4 nights at the beautiful Allegory Boutique Hotel in centre of old Rhodes town (but far enough walk away from the noise and crowds). Konstantina has been nothing short of amazing! From arranging our airport transfer to the door of the hotel, to the welcome choice of drinks (we chose a white and a red wine) with cheeses, olives etc, to the warm conversations - she has been kind, hospitable and so helpful. As others have noted the breakfast is plentiful. Each day we have had to gradually reduce our intake as it really is abundant! Konstantina looked genuinely upset when we politely declined an item - as she is the epitome of Greek hospitality. She wants to keep offering more and more! Our vegetarian diet was easily accommodated and Kaliopi has also been so welcoming, friendly and kind throughout our stay. We are grateful that for our final night we’ve been upgraded to the Narcissus suite! If you can we highly recommend this room for the extra space and extraordinary bathroom including a steam shower. We prefer it to Callisto room which has a strange small shower opening directly to the bedroom. It also doesn’t have a door from the private stairwell into the bedroom but fortunately there was no noise from downstairs and the stairwell skylight did not impede our sleep. However Callisto was equally quiet and comfortable, just more compact. The beds are great and everything is spotlessly clean in whatever room you choose. The location and atmosphere is exceptional. The photos are accurate. It is as beautiful as depicted. We are sad to be leaving the magnificent island of Rhodes (we did a day tour - so much to see and enjoy!), stunning Rhodes town and Allegory in particular. It has been such a memorable experience. If you are able - you must stay here!

Beautiful food, beautiful service, beautiful surroundings

Stumbled upon "Paris Garden" restaurant at Hotel Paris by accident. Had walked down from the Acropolis into the Old Town via Saint Athanasios Gate. This restaurant is en route to the centre of the Old Town. The seating is all outdoors in a courtyard under canopies and parasols complete with impressive bonsai and other lush planting. The hotel rooms surround the restaurant over two floors. This is a true family run establishment - they are so welcoming and friendly. Our first visit was just for cool drinks in the shade but we came back a few days later for food while exploring the Old Town. I had the beef Giouvesti - my first time trying this dish. The beef was beautifully tender and nicely seasoned. At €10 I thought this was a reasonably priced filling lunch. Washed it down with a local beer "Zythos Vap". All in all I think this is such a lovely place away from hustle and bustle of the centre of the Old Town and would definitely come again.

Ancient Rhodos in a true Boutique Hotel

Reviewed By Die_Reisenden_Worms

The Trinity Boutique hotel is inside the Rhodos city walls, a bit outside of the center in a quiet small street. It is build out of an historic old building, which was fully refurbished and renovated - the picture collection shows impressively how much work and commitment went into it. Our room was very beautiful, however, also a bit difficult, as part of the ceiling / door constructions were too low for a tall European person (> 1.85m), so my husband had to be extra careful not to bruise his head repeatedly. The bed - very comfortable and nice - was on a small gallery up-stairs, and also a bit difficult to access. But other than that the room was very very nice and nicely furnished and decorated. The owner was a very nice lady, always willing to help and support. Breakfast could be ordered, and was freshly prepared and served by two young ladies in the court. Walking to the town center was easily possible and not far, and also parking was no problem nearby at the Akanthus gate- despite that the distance is small between parking area and hotel, it is advisable to take the offer to be picked up from your car, as the streets have a very uneven surface onto which rolling of a suitcase is rather difficult.

Wonderful oasis

Reviewed By 717simonc

For the active traveller who wants to see the cultural side of Rhodes, this is a delightful boutique hotel with exemplary service. Irene who seems to have many roles, is a role model for how a host should be, nothing was too much trouble for her, she arranged a PCR test for me on a Sunday and gave me a packed breakfast before I left early in the morning. The rooms are a little small, but with many generous touches, such as complimentary house wine, orange juice and nuts. The towels are fresh and fluffy, the wifi and a/c work well and there are plenty of international sockets (one or two upside down!). A generous full continental breakfast is served in the modest courtyard. The only downside was the lack of a proper shower, there is a large bathtub in the centre of the room which comes with a shower attachment but this has to be hand held and the water takes a while to fill the bath. Its probably better to ask for a room on the second floor as noise does travel a little from the reception area. Overall, this was a delightful stay for two nights to experience the Old Town and its rich history.
