Adequate and very affordable
Reviewed By Gerty MFor the price it fetched and as independent travellers, the guest house had everything we needed. It had hot running water and clean linen. There is a common kitchenette where you can store your own food in small baskets in case you didn't feel like eating out. We had bacon and eggs for every morning we were there. There is free wi-fi! The guesthouse receptionists are friendly but of the 3 we met, only 1 could speak English well enough. The others had basic English, but a phrase book goes a long way and they were very gracious with our attempt at speaking in Russian. There is a nearby shopping Centre, i.e. 10-15 minute walk. Everything else you can get to either on foot or by taxi. The receptionists can arrange a taxi for you, which turns out cheaper than if you hailed one on your own. (Taxis tend to take advantage of foreigners and charge exorbitant amounts) There are no lifts so be mindful of how much luggage you have. The steps on their staircases are higher than what we were normally used to back home, but thankfully we all travelled light. It's situated in what looks like a were part of the city. It's very quiet so it was great for a good night's sleep.

Reviewed By Ellu53The hotel was otherwise ok, but "the free of charge WiFi" was only available for those who have a Russian mobile subscription. When I asked reason for this, the receptionist answered that this is according to Russian law! I have stayed in several Russian hotels and WiFi has been available for all customers. If this hotel cannot or does not want to serve all customers with WiFi, they should mention it in their marketing material.

Reviewed By 3of8Very modern, yet feel good and cosy. Friendly and helpful staff with some english skills. The room was very nice, bright, clean and warm. Excellent wifi. The hotel is easy to find, free parking spaces in the secured yard. The restaurant/breakfast prices were a little outside of my budget. But restaurants and an unbelievable large shopping mall (Sigma) is not far away. Train station is 2.5km

Reviewed By Ilya BWe stayed here one night in a quad room after our visit to Kizhi. We arrived early in the morning, and the receptionist was very welcoming. Since our room was already available, she invited us to check in early at no extra cost. We were also able to buy a tasty and filling breakfast for a very reasonable 200 rubles per per person. The interior has a simple, sleek modern look with a small Karelian gift shop. We stayed in a room with four single beds. It was very clean, had no detectable smells and was reasonably appointed for the price. The building has massively thick walls and the room faced the back yard, so it was very quiet. No tub, but a clean, easy to use shower. Would definitely recommend this place for groups of friends traveling together or families with children. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Front desk staff speak some English.

Reviewed By Ariel SWe traveled in mid of August couple and two friends. It was the best place that we visited, after Petrozavodsk and Sartavala hotels. Unfortunately we stay for one night only. Next time we will come for a week. We slept in main building. Big room with double bed.
