ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS B & B

We stayed for 2 nights when touring the Causeway Coast . The experience staying at Cullentra House is certainly equivalent to any 4* or 5* hotel that we have stayed in .The reviews and awards they have received say it all .. it is an absolutely fabulous B & B and I would 100% recommend it to any tourists planning to visit the Causeway Coast & the Glens of Antrim. Olive & James are impeccable hosts and attention to detail is there to be seen .. the place is spotlessly clean and tidy , the rooms were very comfortable and finished to a very high standard .. free view television and excellent wi fi . The dining room settings were outstanding and would grace any fine dining restaurant. The breakfast menu had a very extensive choice .. plus Olives amazing homemade cake and scones .. we opted for the Ulster fry and it was absolutely delicious and very generous portions . From the garden we had a beautiful view of Cushendall Bay & the surrounding countryside .. we certainly look forward to staying again on our next visit to the Glens

Very welcoming and comfortable, just a couple of minutes from the centre of the city, and a great breakfast too. There is some fascinating music memorabilia in the public rooms and looks like a fine place for a party, though I was saying on a quiet Sunday night.

Fabulous!

Stayed just for one night but was so tempted to stay for a second!!! We were given a choice of room in their new modern building. Decided to take up the free upgrade. It was just wonderful! Some tweaks still needed - struggled to get electric blind to work, bath mat didn’t fit under shower door and no where to hang a second wet towel but minor complaints in what is a wonderful suite! My only real advice would be to improve pictures. Many pictures look really old fashioned when in fact in the main building it isn’t old fashioned just old and beautiful!! I almost didn’t book it because of the pictures and that would have been a huge mistake!!! Wonderful breakfast delivered to our room the next morning though could have eaten in dining room.

We had a great weekend celebrating our first wedding anniversary at the hotel. We were upgraded on arrival and a card and box of chocolates were waiting in the room for us. The staff could not have been more attentive. The food was excellent and the massage treatments went down a treat (especially at 6 months pregnant) The room was quiet. There were 2 weddings during our stay but our sleep was never disturbed. The boat rental was also a great bonus to the trip. An amazing, relaxing time. Thank you so much

WORST HOTEL EVERR !!!

Worst hotel ever !! Booked a room the girl on the phone told me the room was booked, gave my bank card details. When I got to the hotel , the women at the desk told me there was no booking under our name and she had no rooms available for us to stay in tonight. So after travelling the whole way to the hotel , the women at reception who had no customer service skills whatever so ever told us they couldn’t accommodate us tonight. Done absolutely nothing to accommodate us , couldn’t even tell me who was on that night that I phoned. How she has a job helping customers i really don’t know.

A very poor customer service experience

Reviewed By sjml1

Had long review typed as to what happened but deleted it. Listen in a nutshell the service was awful. A waitress who needs some customer service training, badly. So disappointing as we’ve been here many times before and really like it. Suggest some retraining required on customer service. Ended up left before got anything. No point lingering around to be treated like that.

Beautiful ocean views

Our stay at Carnside was perfect! The location was very convenient for our visit to Giant's Causeway, which is a quick easy walk. Upon arrival, we asked about dining options nearby, and immediately Ann made a call to the nearby Bushfoot Golf Club, to see if they had room for us that evening, and suggested we make the 40 minute walk along the oceanside path and return via taxi. The rooms are lovely and clean, with all the amenities you may need, and we had the bonus of a view of the neighbouring seaside towns directly from our bed. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to our busy day! Be sure to book an hour in the hot tubs, at sunset if you can, the view over the ocean is unbelievable! If we ever are lucky enough to visit Northern Ireland again, we will absolutely stay at Carnside! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
