I recommend you this place because it's perfect for eat, sleep, relaxing time, laundry, transportation. It's very clean also and close to the center. Definitely it's one of my favorite places in Medan

Reviewed By 59ekapWell, basically hotel budget, worth for the price you pay. I got deluxe room with no windows, with broken toilet door and little bit smelly. For the breakfast, no the best but at least enough to fill your stomach to get another second breakfast outside (maybe). I got soup, and scramble egg? About the location in near water tower tirtanadi, near chinese local food( if you all muslim its little bit to get halal food but its near mosque) overall it good for backpackers with period stay 1-2 night

Reviewed By iisechew?Lake Toba, Indonesia For ONLY Rm 100 one-way ( KL - Lake Toba) and Rm 50/night in Romlan Guesthouse, Lake Toba was perhaps one of the most memorable and AFFORDABLE holidays I've shared with Michelle. ?Picture swimming in an enchanting volcanic blue lake that spans the horizon, with mountainous backdrops and blue skies, feasting on produce from rich volcanic soil and an abundance of the freshest fish, sleeping without the need of air-conditioning due to the cool temperatures.. That's Lake Toba in a nutshell.. The perfect holiday, with the best of culinary delights and fruit juices all from this incredibly rich and fertile land.. ?We spent our days just frolicking in the cool waters, gliding on the lake with our kayaks (it was FREE), having a gastronomic adventure that spanned from authentic German pastries to incredible Indonesian flavours. Apparently, the owner of Romlan's Guesthouse is a German, thus explaining the amazing German cuisine whipped up by the local chefs. The Fish 'Tombur' with their signature Spicy Batak Sauce was a KILLER. I have not found a better tasting spicy sauce than that (this dish takes 3 hours to prepare). ?Arriving to our destination was relatively easy. On our flight, we were already able to view the entirety of Lake Toba from above; it was breath-taking. A three hour drive from the airport would bring you the jetties, in which a ferry will take you DIRECTLY to your appointed hotel, all in the middle of the lake at an island called Samosir Island. It is for certain that I will return to this magical retreat. It's the ideal picture of the perfect retreat.

Fishing, swimming, kayaking, feeding rabbits, orchid garden, organic garden, cats, dogs, chicken, building castles on our small sand beach. From the Horas Family Home kitchen we serve specials such as the famous Horas Family Home Fish BBQ, Roasted Suckling Pig (Babi Guling), Small wild forest pig (Bayi Babi Hutan Liar), Forest Snakehead Fish (Ikan Bujuk), Roasted Village Chicken (Ayam Kampun Guling) and of course the regulars out of our pond Crayfish (Fresh Water Lobster), Tilapia (Ikan Nila) and Catfish (Ikan Lele) Horas Family Home is a complete two storey house in Batak Architectural style and comes with a fully equipped kitchen. Horas Family Home sleeps 8 guests in two double king size beds and 4 single beds in two rooms. Horas Indah is a spacious apartment on the second floor in a separate building. It is fully furnished and comes with a kitchenette and an upstairs attic. Horas Indah sleeps 6 guests in two double beds and two single beds. Horas Mini ORAS MINI consists of two rooms on a second floor in a separate building. The two rooms share a spacious bathroom and balcony. Horas Mini sleeps 5 guests in one double king size beds and 3 single beds.
Convenient location and comfortable accommodation
Reviewed By Roving319703Accommodation is only a 5 min walk from the small ferry terminal in TukTuk. This is a perfect place for families with young children as there are several pets (dogs,rabbits, fish and turtles) and a very shallow pool suitable for small children. Adults and older children can swim in the lake. The room was very spacious and had all of the amenities we needed, including a fridge and cooking appliances. Beds very comfortable. Our room had a balcony but no view of the lake. Owners were kind, very helpful and organised drivers for a local half day trip of the island and to get to the airport on our last day. Breakfasts were plentiful and took account of our special diets (vegan). Was a pleasant stay and I would recommend.

Indra Valley Inn is located in Bukit Lawang on the bank of the Bohorok River, only a three minute walk to the entrance of Gunung Leuser National Park. It offers riverside accommodation with 2 standard rooms and 4 new deluxe rooms (with hot water showers) which just finished in April 2016 and August 2017, respectively. All rooms have a beautiful view of the jungle and the river. Indra Valley Inn also has a tasty restaurant and offers wildlife trekking so guests can experience the Sumatran Orungutan in their natural environment. The owner Obiwan is a very experienced 3rd generation trekking guide.
