The accommodation and the breakfast were flawless. I can see why the reviews are all so good. It’s a pleasure to add one more! Tastefully refurbished spacious bedroom with modern bathroom and fittings and a superb breakfast in the elegant former music room of a fine city mansion. Safe courtyard parking and situated within easy walking distance of restaurants in the old quarter of Liège. Should we ever return I would be disappointed if we had to stay anywhere else. A lovely end to our holiday.

Reviewed By tereilingAn exceptional stay in the bucolic countryside, tucked just inside Belgium and very close to Germany, Luxembourg and autobahns. I discovered here that stillness does have a sound, and comes with a great view and a refreshing pool. Vast skies abound with this hilltop location in the Eifel. Just steps away walking trails meander though forest & field, adding to the peace and serenity. Fresh, local products are highlights of a sumptuous breakfast. Chris and Hugo anticipate needs as well as whims in unobtrusive ways. They have created an enticing countryside farm stay that is of great value and quite a gem.

Reviewed By 923veerlevDespite our last minute booking made on Easter Sunday for the next day, we received a very quick reply and were welcomed warmly despite the hotel actually being closed after a busy week. We were the only guests but were given the full service including a very big breakfast with lots of delicious choices. Beautiful house and a very nice and clean room and Beatrice took very good care of us. We did 2 walks with maps provided by the hotel that we could borrow for the day. Beautiful scenery through forests and green fields. We enjoyed 2 great days and we definitely recommend this address for a relaxing weekend away in a beautiful area.

Reviewed By ElizabethB007Booked via Booking.com but had to communicate with the hotel via messages re our stay . All staff extremely helpful . Delightful, slightly quirky hotel. Lots of fellow visitors were cyclists or walkers. We stayed to attend the 6hours WEC race at Spa Francorchamps motor racing circuit. Probably about 12 miles from circuit parking at Ster. Scenery lovely, by the lake. We didn’t have much chance to see around and about, just to and fro the circuit. Pretty village with several bars and restaurants. Carols at the hotel was excellent. Breakfast great, buffet style. Big room with 3 beds and sitting area. Very clean if a little dated style wise. All staff were very helpful and many spoke beautiful English as , shamefully we do not speak much French or German and no Dutch! Plenty of parking. Lots of stairs but there is a lift. Shower pressure good. Hooks for coats. Long mirror. Quite a find!

Only had a drink but I would definetely go back as the setting is splendid ! The staff is friendly and amusing. We only had a drink there - so no overnight for us.

A pleasure treasure well worth finding
Reviewed By glynnk2015The accommodating attitude of the receptionist in this unmarked hotel in a quiet and safe part of the city, found with the assistance of the satnav, opened up - through double doors - an evening of discovery and a novel experience. The room was spacious and interestingly decorated and contained all that we needed. There is no lift and since I have some mobility issues I was pleased to be on the ground floor. Nor is there a restaurant so we asked and was given a set of restaurants in the centre. We decided to drive in and find one since the one I had checked on the internet and had called had no places available. Within four hundred metres we saw a local bar/restaurant. It was perfect (see my review of Le Royal, Place des Nations-Unies 5, Liège 4020, Belgique +32 4 343 07 93). Then, appetite wonderfully sated, back to our low bed and a good night's sleep. Next morning, an ample breakfast was delivered to our outer door and while I prepared myself for the next part of our long European drive, my partner took her last look at the one book which was in the room - a set of erotic drawings; clearly a stimulus which some travellers needed to assist them on their own journeys of discovery.

Big, clean and incredibly comfortable.... as well as beautifully decorated. Access to rooms was as easy as promised, there were several excellent restaurants in easy walking distance, and street parking was a snap. We were visiting at the end of September, so that probably explains lack of traffic.

This hotel ticked both boxes very well, as we were just 15 minutes from the circuit but also in the centre of a tranquil and picturesque village. Our hosts were friendly and attentive, the food was imaginative, well cooked and attractively presented. The room was modern, light and airy, the bed really comfortable and a really nice bathroom/shower. We have never really considered exploring Belgium before, but after seeing the historical charm of Stavelot, and enjoying this hotel, we will be back, for sure.

Friendly staff and clean rooms
Reviewed By albbriWe stayed here during our trip to the F1 race in spa and were glad to have found a nice place close to the race track. Although the price was pretty high, which is usual for all the hotels and B&Bs in the area around the race track (really, all of them), we enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful :-) and the breakfast buffet offered everything you need!
