Golden location

I stayed for New Years and was rewarded by the owner's fantastic hospitality and friendly vibes, awakening New Year's day to the sound of laughter. The historic local is perfectly situated one block from the cathedral on a hill allowing a cool breeze for the open-air establishment. There is a functioning kitchen for guests and the main market is a short stroll through a beautiful colonial historic town offering a panoramic jungle view. The staff are your friends and there is a wide selection of rooms and beds to choose from. I stayed the week, best accommodation in Venezuela, and Columbia for that matter.

A cozy quaint hotel near the airport

Reviewed By 426yukin

We spent a night on our way back from Canaima. We were initially recommended a global hotel chain within the area but opted for a local ‘posada’ instead. We thought was a great choice as the room provided everything we needed- cleanliness, hot water, fresh clean sheets and a quaint & large interior. A clean room with a local taste. No issues with security (Security on duty 24/7). Quite a happening place with live music at night and guests playing dominos in the common area- noise died down by 9pm (also was a big carnival season). Spanish is a must for communication with the hotel staff. 5 mins drive from the Puerto Ordaz airport- do require car arrangements in advance as no taxis were available at the airport upon arrival. Overall, a great value for the quality!

Posada La Casita

Posada La Casita is a quite place, located outside of the main city of Ciudad Bolívar. It provides a quiet and idyllic atmosphere, with its small bungalows, its large green areas, with palms, monkey, parrots, etc. If it is hot and you need to refresh, our swimming pool is the perfect location to do so. Our outside lounge is a great place, to have a drink and chat with the other guests. Here a public laptop with Internet Access is also available. Our selfmade juices (made from fruits of our property) and our delicious dinner are renowned in the area. As a bonus, we do also provide free pick up for our guest to and from the airport. We are also assisting in the organization of trips and tours. Guests staying with us inbetween their tours have the opportunity, to leave their baggage in a locked room at the Posada. This way you can enjoy your tour with only the luggage you need, while the rest is safeguarded here at the Posada. For your safety, we have security staff, guarding our property during the night time. A free shuttle service to downtown Ciudad Bolívar is available twice a day. All rooms are equipped with a private Bathroom, Shower and Air Condition. Some of our rooms do have TV with access to Direct TV (Pay TV). We are welcoming all of our guests to our beautiful posada. Safe, Secure, and Comfortable - Beautiful too!

The property is extremely secure and has plenty of amenities that made my stay enjoyable. The owner keeps the place well stocked with soft drinks and beer at all hours and his wife cooks up some delicious and reasonably priced meals. Even though my stay here was brief and most of the people who stay are tourists traveling between Caracas and Angel Falls, the property has a resort-like feel because of its tranquil location and wide green-spaces. The swimming pool on the property is clean and well maintained and also has good views of the sunset during summer evenings. I slept comfortably and peacefully at this property and highly recommend a stay to anyone looking for a place in Ciudad Bolivar.

Posada Cunuri

"Feels like coming home

Reviewed By Annette B

We arrived in Caracas without one of our backpacks. It got lost in Portugal at the airport. We had a hard time getting out of Caracas by any means of transportation. No airplane tickets, no bustickets. Luckily we got two bustickets to Puerto Ordaz that were not confirmed by the people who were supposed to take this bus. As we don´t speak Spanish, it was very difficult for us to arrange our itinerary. Due to the fact that we booked a trip in the Orinoco Delta it was imperative that we were able to leave that day and we were forced to leave Caracas without our backpack. Tired from all the hassle and frozen because of the airconditioning in the nightbus to Puerto Ordaz we finally arrived at Posada Cunuri in Puerto Ordaz. We already had a reservation in this posada but were not able to spend that night because of our trouble getting out of Caracas so we had to spend the night in the bus.We received a very warm welcome and despite of missing the night in the posada we were pointed to our room for a hot shower, some relaxing until checkout time and a great breakfast afterwards. It felt like coming home in this posada. Clean, spotless rooms, when you open your room you smell immediately that it is well cleaned. The hallways in the posada are very homey, with lots of art hanging on the wall and different nice decorations. Everything is clean, nothing is broken and we even were able to recharge our equipment because of the right material in the room. Perfect! We have seen different posadas in Venezuela, but nothing like this! We had to leave after breakfast but returned after our trip to the Orinoco Delta. This time we met the owners of the Posada, a warm , kind and very helpful couple. They helped us booking and printing our flight to Isla Margarita on the internet. (because of the Spanish language on the booking site) They recommended a restaurant and took us there by their own car. As the restaurant was closed they drove us around and showed us some nice places in Puerto Ordaz. Then they dropped us off at the restaurant, making sure that we got home safely from there by taxi. The owner kissed us goodbye, wishing us a pleasant evening and leaving us astonished by her friendly warm and helpful attitude. We never expected this kind of service, but we feel we were taken under her wings because of our helplessnes in Spanish. Treating every guest of the posada like this would be a lot of work! Staying in the posada felt like visiting family. Even when we were waiting for our trip to the Gran Sabana the next day, the small dog of the owners cuddled up on our lap. Of course we booked another night when we came back from the Gran Sabana. Although we already booked a posada on isla margarita, the owner provided us with an adress of a posada on Isla Margarita. The owner told us if we have any trouble, we should call them as the owners of that posada were relatives. We highly recommend this posada, clean rooms, tv with a wide arrange of channels, lovely decorated hallways, exceptional service and breakfast, and last but not least very friendly owners. We wish them all the best continueing running this posada. Ork Schoffelmeer and Annette Basten.

‎Great use of space and decor

Reviewed By Valentina F

This small inn is truly an ode to the best use of space possible, the decor is lovely (typical of the region while remaining classy and family friendly), the staff is for the most part really nice too. The rooms are nice and clean, and even if they feel small, it's design allows a complete enjoyment of the stay. It has a restaurant where you could eat if needed, and where the breakfast is served which by the way is included on the room cost, but beware of the austerity of it if you're waiting for something more than a sandwich. Still, all in all, truly and enjoyable place to stay.

Salí al Venezuela a sentirme como en casa

Reviewed By SaliAndres

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of La Paz. Nice sized rooms, very clean. Lovely helpful staff. Rooms can be noisy depending on where they are. Breakfast is good, and restaurant food is pretty good. Staff went out of there way to accommodate our requests. Set menu lunch wasn’t for us, just wanted a sandwich. They have a sandwich menu but don’t ever seem to give it out unless you ask. Pics are of the restaurant.
