A comfortable and pretty hotel in the centre of Filzmoos
Reviewed By GES57Having visited this hotel many times in the winter seasons , I have to say that its equally welcoming and homely in the summer. It's the quieter season so the restaurant only runs a limited service, but the position of this hotel very near the centre with a very efficient tourism office, lovely restaurants and bars as well as it's position almost opposite the only supermarket, makes it the perfect choice for a walking holiday based in this beautiful village. The rooms are of a good size and have all the amenities one needs including wifi , the south facing aspect of many of its balcony rooms and outdoor patio looking out onto fields and woods is just lovely. The breakfast room is sunny and well appointed and features a good selection of juices, cereals, jogurts, fruit salad , breads, cold meats and cheeses as well as bacon and scrambled eggs. Everything is spotlessly clean and the owners are there personally to assist you every day. There is a lovely sauna, steam room and rest area which is great after a long hike as well as table tennis and other games available in case the weather turns. Highly recommendable and worth returning to.

Stunning service at this little jewel of a hotel

We were there for five days to attend a family wedding, the room was really nice but that's only part of the story. The service level by the family, especially Marcus, and the delightful Edna Maria was truly outstanding. We felt like a part of the family, and hope to reunite with them sometime in the future. If you are ever in this beautify part of Austria, do yourself a favor and stay here, plus the dining room is excellent and priced very reasonably. They also hosted a "recovery brunch" for about 100 wedding attendees and it, too, was excellent.

Best trip ever
Reviewed By Richlittle2323My wife and I have been travelling quite a bit with our daughter and without a doubt this may have been one of if not the best family vacation we have ever had. We met some friends here as well and were given a list of things to do from one of the hotel staff and everything did somehow was better than the last. The hotel itself is in the perfect location. There is a room to store gear so your not dragging it into and through your room. There are ski hills and rental shops all within walking distance. Food, bars, and an after ski spot again all within a 5 minute walk. Right across the street is a beautiful house that has a restaurant inside and offers carriage rides up the mountain to a secluded restaurant and if your reading this you have to do the carriage ride. It is an absolute must. Oh and it includes breakfast and dinner. And this isn't some holiday inn continental meal. The dinner quality is better than most restaurants, serious gourmet quality stuff that left all of us still talking about it weeks later. We are already planning our next trip around coming back here and doing it all again.

Honeymoon break
Reviewed By Charley DStayed in the annex of the hotel for a week the beginning of March for our honeymoon. The annex is huge and the room was lovely with a hob and kettle too in the little kitchen, couldn’t believe how big the room was! The hotel is beautiful, the pool is lovely and the restaurant food is amazing. You get given the same table every night for dinner so it’s a nice to know where you will be each day and not wait to be seated. Our waiter was lovely even though we didn’t speak the same language (our fault) and the cafe in the hotel does the best hot food for lunch. Really close to ski lifts for skiing or for walks up the mountain. Really good location in the village and the staff are all so friendly. We had to come home after a week when we had booked for 2 because of the covid19 situation and were absolutely devastated, we could’ve stayed here forever.

The service was also good, they speek English perfectly, ( it is not obvious in this region). Also there is wide range of deserts, and ice creams too.

Reviewed By GRZEGORZtheMARMOTGood accomodation, perfect location nearly in the middle of the village. A swimming pool ticket is included in the price. You can go as many times as you want. It is in an easy reach, walking distance. The apartment is cosy and well equiped.

Reviewed By Footprints646358Excellent service and cheerful hosts. We were well looked after. The room was really warm and cosy. Heated floor in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise. Lots of TV channels though you focus on outdoor activities in the Filzmoos area. Breakfast is the crown of the venue: high diversity and loads of eco&handmade goods, including the bread and jams. Fairplay to Bernard and his family and staff that really care about the guests well-being. We will recommend the place to anyone who plans to stay in the Austrian Alps and definitely will be back.

Very nice hotel for a ski trip
Reviewed By JamesOnYouCame here for a ski trip which was great for after a long day speeding down the slopes. Every day I came back to put some dry clothes on and sit next to the toasty fire or go to the sauna. The rooms were very spacious and got cleaned every day. Every morning there would be a choice at the breakfast buffet selection and in the evening a full course meal.
