Book now! Do not delay another moment. The pictures cannot begin to do this stay justice. Coming from the states we had reservations on where to book our family of 21 for our wedding. The Lodge Doolin far exceeded all expectations. Not only did Diedre help us coordinate to meet all of our needs, she is warm and truly cares for all of her patrons. We have traveled all around the world and would put the Lodge Doolin at the top of our list of places to stay. I can only hope with how amazing a stay there will be any availability for patrons in the future because there should be quite the queue to reserve.

For visiting Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher area this is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are modern, spotless with comfortable beds and a spacious and powerful shower. The accommodation is in a separate building adjacent to the house and is on one level only. Hosts were friendly and welcoming and breakfast was delicious. Excellent value and one of the best guest houses we have stayed in. We were definitely impressed with O’Leary’s Lodge and would highly recommend

Rooms had lots of space and the continental breakfast has many food items to choose from. No wonder this place has so many good write ups, they are well deserved.

Sweltering rooms, rude staff & uncomfortable beds. Overpriced!

Reviewed By StevieRayCan

I would not stay here again, we had the most terrible experience. It is VERY overpriced. The rooms are 2 star, at best. They need a full refit to be decent, or at the very least some more attentive maintenance staff. It is clear that this B&B is not well looked after, or the maintenance staff are completely inept. The beds were absolutely atrocious; it was springy, saggy and in generally poor shape. This was the absolute lowest cost mattress that could be installed. The radiators are missing the adjuster knobs, so be prepared to have your room like a sauna! They are on full open, high heat and you have no way to control them (bring an adjustable spanner/wrench)!!! We had to get staff over to shut the entire system off so that the rooms could be habitable; the heat was turned on again later and we were once again subjected to the tropical conditions. It was extremely unenjoyable. Also, be prepared to deal with staff that are ambivalent at best, downright rude at worst. We showed up an hour after allowable check in time (check in is at 5pm) and our rooms weren't ready yet! We found this out after getting our keys, unloading luggage and getting to the rooms only to find the cleaning staff in the rooms. When I went to reception, the staff said quite rudely "oh yes, your rooms aren't ready - we had full turnover last night" - like it was my fault that they are understaffed. I would have appreciated being informed ahead of time so that I didn't have to unpack luggage twice! We were offered a free drink at the pubs they own next door and told we would be called when they were ready; I'm sure you can guess that we were not called. A dinner reservation for Fitgeralds (the pub/restaurant next door) was made through reception; no surprise here that they did not inform the restaurant of our reservation. The breakfasts were ok, but the staff were once again apathetic and extremely slow. If I could give zero stars, I would. Go stay somewhere else is my recommendation. This place does not deserve your patronage given their terrible service. I've stayed in a lot of hotels, B&B's during my time in Ireland and this was by far the absolute worst experience.

Wouldn’t be back

I would not darken the door of this b&b again. When we arrived the owner of the b&b met us in working clothing and had the same clothes on the next morning at breakfast He asked us what we wanted for breakfast the day we arrived and then when we went for breakfast the next morning they didn’t have what we asked for. They would need to get a cleaner in to clean the house in general as the dust was visible and was untidy. The owner showed us to our room where he proceeded to collect the dead flys from the floor and around our bedroom. And given the current situation in relation to Covid-19 hygiene should be at the top of every b&b owners list as there was no hand sanitizers visible anywhere.
