The beds were very comfortable and room was clean and pleasant. But the bathroom was across the corridor which was a little ackward in the morning as the b and b was busy. There were no towels either to use for shower and i only discovered this on getting out. The room was far too hot at night. By biggest disappointment was the fact that the hosts would not accommodate us in getting back to rathsallagh the next morning. Rathsallagh offer a wonderful taxi service free of charge back to b and b at night. In the mornings most b and b s will drop you back up to your car. But ash house would not even though we had to wait over an hour for a taxi. The taxi cost 35 euro. Breakfast was wonderful

Very Nice Overnight Stay

Reviewed By Aslanschild2

Our stay at Eaglehill Farm House B&B was delightful if too short. It was nicely situated between Dublin and Galway, a ways off the main highway with terrible directions given, but once we found it, we loved it. Breakfast was outstanding; one of the best of our trip. The surrounding farmlands are peaceful with many bird sounds. Our hosts were kind and understanding of our belated arrival. I did have to contact BandB Ireland after I got home because the host was unable to accept a credit card for the final payment, and we did not have enough cash with us. I got an email back from the B&B website saying it got resolved and the credit card they have on file for me was charged. I certainly hope so. Room was a bit small but adequate, on the ground floor with a nice view. A lovely place.

Disgusting, unsafe, DO NOT STAY HERE

The bed was comfortable. The water was hot. End of compliments....Bath took a half hour to fill. Shower was blocked and nearly overflowed. Mould on the window. When i stripped the bed before leaving as I always do ,we found the duvet was stained with pee or god knows what. Bed slats broken. Dirt under the bed behind the door. Light switch not screwed in. Wallpaper peeling off. This place needs shutting down. No bowls for ceral. Complete maintenance makeover needed and a decent cleaner. From the images on booking site it appears you are staying in a lodge. YOU ARE NOT. It is an old house split into 3. We stayed in the one bedroom part.

The Rooms at The Spout

Terribly poor

Reviewed By Short-trip-review

Just checked out of this place yesterday morning. I don’t normally write reviews but we are fuming we got duped into paying €160 for a family room which was not at all near worth it. Firstly we were pre warned there would be music downstairs in the bar and there would be a bit of noise but it actually was so loud in the rooms the beds vibrated. Secondly there no hot water to have a shower in the morning this is just not acceptable. Might I add here the shower was over a bath. You could not turn the light on in the bathroom as the window overlooked the smoking area windows were single glaze barely frosted unless you didn’t mind folks below looking at your silhouette. Thirdly I couldn’t open the bed room window as it also overlooked the smoking area and the smoke would filter in. Fourthly we were told that there were cafes nearby that would be open to serve breakfast seeing as they don’t cater for breakfasts, 3 cafes 2 were shut even after 9am now we had two children with us and they were starving. The other cafe served toasted sandwiches and yogurts again provided false information as toasted sandwiches do not class as breakfasts . Fifthly do not expect to have a lye in the curtain are paper thin they couldn’t even be bothered to provide black outs. All and all the rooms were more like a glorified hostel they were clean but that’s was just about as good as it gets. Unfortunately we had no choice but to take this room as all other BnBs were fully booked in the area. Also we were made pay for the room before we even stepped foot inside it what kind of a set up is that. We met no one when checking out to see if everything about our stay was ok instead we’re told leave keys in the box. Clearly these people running the place have no intention of feedback from their guests or know that there place is not up to standards for the price they are charging.
