Reviewed By 801tizianolBreathtaking experience in this wonderful location in one of the most beautiful place in Italy, I’ve been absolutely thrilled by the peacefully of the location, the quality of the food is unreal, breakfast is very fancy and stylish, excuisite. Dinner very romantic and excellent food served. For the sky fan is probably the closest location and more strategic accommodation in Canazei, you can litteraly walk from the lobby to the chairlift in 60 seconds. The staff is super professional and friendly and the cleaning is absolutely 5 stars. Amazing experience, highly recommended.

Besides the outstanding views, the staff were very helpful and accommodating, room spacious, warm and nicely-furnished, breakfast and dinner both strong and varied. The only reason this hotel is 2-star is the lack of an elevator, which really makes one question hotel rating systems!

Me, with allergies, got enough to eat. There was even an offer (which I declined) to bike to a nearby store to get more for me to eat.

Lovely family run hotel
Reviewed By Huw MMy daughters and I spent a week here and we were very satisfied with this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lovely daughters. The food got better every day and the rooms were comfortable if basic. Nevertheless, the view from my balcony was absolutely stunning! The wine prices in the restaurant were very reasonable and each day there was a choice of menu for the following day. The starters were enormous, bigger than the main course, and the food was very tasty. A buffet salad was available to accompany the 3 course dinner every night. The hotel is in an excellent location within 5 minutes walk of the town centre and the ski bus stops right outside. Each room has its own ski locker in the basement. My only real criticism was the patchy nature of the WIFi. Having picked up an injury on the first day I spent a lot of time in the hotel but was unable to access WiFi on my laptop. Also, this is not a party hotel but a hotel for serious sportspeople! Everyone was in bed by 10pm and up early. Canazei is a vibrant, beautiful resort with excellent skiing but I would not recommend it for beginners as there are very few blue runs.

The Rifugio Monti Pallidi lies in a beautiful natural hollow at the foot of the Pordoi massif, 6 km from Canazei, on the ancient Dolomiti road which leads to the Sella pass.The fireplace will warm your candlelit dinners and if you take a look behind our windows you may see a roe deer grazing in the meadow or a fox drinking by our tarn.

Reviewed By voodoopolSo cute made of wood place. Nice location 10 min by car from the mega touristic and crowded Canazei. The hoster is super helpful and polite. Really so kind. Also the waitress is so nice. The breakfast is ok: some cake, marmalade , yoghurt, cereals.. And also bread, salami, cheese, fried egg&bacon. We just have dinner one night but it was really good. There is no menu to choose. Every day something different. The dinning/breakfast room is super cute, all made from wood and even with a little fireplace. The surrounding are just stunning. The rooms was also super cute and comfy. A nice balcony to the forest. Just amazing. If I need to say something negative: Please buy a universal wifi signal extender so you can have signal in the rooms. Also would be great an area to chill and relax with some comfy chairs next to the fire for example. Super satisfied with this place.

Lots of room for improvement

Great location near the Alba ski lifts, altough cars fly past the house at high speeds (60+ km/h is no exception) with no respect for the marked crossing. No need for a rental car if you take the FlySki-bus from Venice airport. It would not require a lot to raise the level of Garni Monika. I’ll mention a few things. The walkway to the skiroom should be fixed, the stones are coming off from the steps on the way and it is only matter of time someone slips and falls. Better ventilation in the ski room would be better than the strong chemical fragrance. They should check and fix broken showerheads in the rooms. Internet via wifi sporadic, but that is probably the internet provider’s problem. There is a small bar with a proper espresso machine in the breakfast room, but you can’t even pay for proper espresso and the bar is always closed, even when asked only tea was available. The breakfast room is locked during the day, so the only place to spend time is your own room. Other places we have stayed at have kept the breakfast/dining room open for guests to use all day and I prefer that way. So, I’d say the two star rating is proper, while I hope Garni Monika improves as it would seem not to require that much to accomplish.

Ski vacation
Reviewed By ManaimaThe most amazing hotel I have been to in the ski resort. The rooms, equipment and infrastructure are brand new. The whole food is home made, and all in the hotel in the concept of environment and sustainability. But beyond all that, the highlight of the hotel is the staff !!!! Two sisters and their mother are amazing hosts who take care of everything that is needed, always smiling .... perfect. I'm sure I'll be back here again, not just in the winter. Highly recommended
