Reviewed By michaela mI spent 4 days in this beautiful Landhotel, the owner Mr.Florian Vogl looked after us guests well, always with smile, very helpful all the time. I enjoyed my stay very much, breakfast excellent and also staff kind and helpful like their boss. Thank you very much for everything, I am sure I will come again. Wanderung Der Gläserne Steig
Reviewed By windwaterwaveNach 2 Jahren wieder im Hotel zur Linde und ähnlich gut. Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, die Wirte Herr und Frau Kollmer sind sehr freundlich und das Frühstück ist gut und ausreichend. Das Bad ist allerdings etwas dunkel und könnte mal renoviert werden. Leider war der Sohn am Sonntag lange mit einem Rasenmäher in Aktion was etwas laut und nervig war! Vom Hotel aus kann man einige schöne Wanderungen z.B. Der Gläserne Steig oder eine Überschreitung des Grossen und Kleinen Ossers unternehmen. Die Nacht war sehr ruhig und erholsam. Von der Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick auf den Grossen Arber.

This is not a high service set up with a 24 hr menu and bar but nevertheless represents excellent value for money and the staff are very helpful and efficient.Good buffet breakfast .Car parking adjacent if required. The swipe card key system for the rooms is a pain until you master it.

We ordered a schnitzel which was filled with Sweet Mustard, Salami and Pickle. It was an amazing dish and a traditional schnitzel with a great twist. Also had a curry turkey dish with rice which was also nice. Lat but not least, pasta from the kids menu, which the children could draw on with the markers that the restaurant provided. Along with the dishes there were salads, which you could fill from the salad bar, which was also very nice and with a good size variety. The service was nice and very polite. Prices were ok. I would certainly recommend and revisit if in the area.

Reviewed By Dahlia06Having been to Bodenmais nearly 20 times with my family years ago, we returned and stayed at the chalet at Villa Montara. We had booked this mainly because it was dog friendly, but even without furry companions it is a great place to stay. It is modern, clean and well equipped. The owners are super friendly, really love dogs and have lots of handy tips about the area. Uwe even baked me a birthday cake, which was excellent. There is a breakfast bun delivery service, a wood stove and a great view from the balcony. The villa is atop a pretty steep hill, so perhaps a little difficult if you have mobility issues. The town itself has changed quite a bit in the last 35 years, but the area is stunningly beautiful. We are planning to return to Villa Montara soon.
