Looked like some interesting walks in the surrounding countryside and mountains -maybe next time with more time. The advertising material and photos of the hotel do not do it justice at all and feel it would benefit from a more professional approach. Draw back for some maybe lack of wi-fi. Recommend a stay.

Great location with amazing hosts

We parked our car and never had to use it again since the location was in walking distance to everywhere you might want to go to. Sleep in the old castle district with the voice of the waves thinking about the Genovese times.

Serviceable hotel, good for kids.
Reviewed By AgathaMildewthis is outside of and up the hill from Amasra. Its anti-COVID measures were very good. It has a pool. Its view over the Black Sea is beautiful. It was clean, the A/C was efficient and the water pressure was excellent. Breakfast was okay. If I had kids who wanted pools, I would stay here again.

World War time… Now, the grandson of the lovers, Ahmet Bey has been running the hotel for more than 10 years. If you visit the hotel, you can learn the story of his grand parents. It is a clean and cozy boutique hotel. If you like nice sea view and calm environment, you should stay at this hotel. However, if you like luxury services, this nice and very friendly family enterprise might not satisfy your expectations. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and private car parking area. It is a pet friendly hotel, too.

Reviewed By zuskieThe best thing about this hotel was the view—we stayed in the family room with a balcony. The view of the ocean was simply stunning. Can’t say much about anything else though. The hotel was pretty basic. The family room had a weird configuration. The main door opened to a tiny room before connecting to the bigger bedroom. Housekeeping didn’t clean our room daily.

Run down and noisy

Both rooms quite noisy at night, with cigarette smoke also wafting up from the courtyard below. Overall a rather shabby place - it could use a renovation, as furnishings were tired and shower heads and electric sockets were loose. As another reviewer noted, they don’t clean your rooms. Also no toiletries provided, just hand soap. Definitely not a “boutique” hotel! Unusually, breakfast was not included in the price. Service was non-existent. Would not recommend.

Warm welcome, reviving authenticity
Reviewed By Talip KThis is a renovated house located in the center of Bartın. It has a history and nice story. Wooden parts are really beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean. Of course you need to be silent as the whole building is natural wooden structure. The owner Mr Metin bey is 85 years old real geltilman. You get a warm welcome at the reception. The breakfast is served with natural food. Me, my wife and daughter aged 4 enjoyed our stay very well. There is a nearby parking place if you arrive by your own car.
