Amazing and memorable trip
Reviewed By ashokp907Yet again, Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve didn't disappoint. Each time, it gets better. This time, with friends from India, we stayed at the luxury tents and found it perfect. Dinner and breakfast was delicious. The restaurant manager, Jeetesh, took extra care to get us vegetarian options. The staff was warm and courteous. Our night tour to watch green turtle laying eggs was wonderful under a galaxy of stars and cool breeze blowing across. We were fortunate to watch the turtles laying eggs. Our guide Hamad Al Amri gave us good information and his understanding and turtles of the turtles was very useful for us. Overall, it was a great evening. The Morning visit to watch turtles was successful with the sunrise providing us an amazing feeling on the lovely beach. A sumptuous breakfast followed, which meant that we carry wonderful memories of the visit again. Thanks to all of Ras Al Jinz staff and the hard working team at Omran, who are taking great efforts in promoting Oman tourism.

Convenient Location, Well-Maintained and Affordable
Reviewed By krupac2014Before we booked our hotel stay, we had corresponded months in advance with the Manager/Owner over WhatsApp. He had helped us with precise directions and answered all our queries happily. The day we arrived, they were surprised to find us there. It looked like we might have been the only guests there. But that didn't affect the service one bit. We were greeted by the owner couple who were themselves visiting from Muscat. We were introduced to Mr. Gopal, the cook, who took excellent care of our pure veg Indian food needs. The owner also helped organise 2 drivers for us - one for our excursion to the nearby Wadi Bani Khalid... and the other for the sunrise view at Wahiba Sands. Both the drivers were polite, charged reasonable and felt safe. The hotel itself looked like a vast property, parts of it still getting developed. There's a whole lounge area done up in traditional Omani style, with lowlevel plush seating, coffee table with a thermos of hot coffee, some dates and a water bowl. The outdoors have ample visitor parking, children's play area, a garden with aloes, date trees and some more vegetation. There also seemed to be some kind of outdoor party area for family functions or such. It was nice to come out in the night to gaze at the moon, the stars and what appeared to be a part of the galaxy. The outdoors were also fitted with sensor-lighting which i appreciated. Our room was spacious for 2 people, the bathroom large with a tub. After we came back from Wadi Bani Khalid, we enjoyed a good soak time in the tub :) The food was delicious for all our meals. We were free to choose from the fruits Gopal ji generously offered. He also made awesome espresso and cold coffee for us. We weren't given an itemised bill though, it was a blanket charge of 7 OMR for 2 people. We wish we had a longer stay here. If you are planning to visit Al Asharqiyah Sands and Wadi Bani Khalid like us, this is your place to sleep the night off. For directions - go off the exit 159 on Muscat-Sur highway. We came via Mwasalat Bus and our driver already knew the hotel, so he dropped us precisely there. Another landmark to confirm the location is the Maha Petrol Pump located at exit 159. The hotel is a 2-minute walk from the petrol pump complex.

Simple, Waterfront Location, Large Suite

I had a 2 bedroom suite which was large and had 2 bathrooms with plenty of hot water. A fridge, hot plate, and microwave were in the kitchen. Staff are friendly and there are dining options next door, including an Arabian restaurant next door serving good food at very reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the windows are a bit thin and the road outside gets quite busy late into the night, so street noise was a problem.

Reviewed By Randy HAs far as I understand, there aren't a whole lot of accommodations available in Ibra. We stayed at the Ibra Motel on the way to Wadi Bani Kaleed. Our stay was only for 1 night and was ok, but there was nothing special about it. The rooms were basic with no frills. The beds were decently comfortable and the rooms were decently clean. The wifi hardly worked so we were essentially lacking in internet connection. The location is right in the middle of Ibra. There isn't much as far as tourist sights in Ibra itself so there's not much for tourists to be close to or far from. There are a couple supermarkets just up the road in either direction to pick up snacks for the car and theres a decent local restaurant right across the main road that we went to for dinner. It's an ok place to stay if you end up in Ibra for the night.

Ce fut cependant une surprise dans la décoration, du sol aux plafonds. Je n’en dirai pas plus pour vous laisser la surprise. Pour le petit-déjeuner on se sert en bas et on remonte le tout dans sa chambre. Reste que cet établissement est à recommander.

We as a group of 3 families visited the resort in Dec 2021 & again in March 2022 with group of 7 families. I had a wonderful experience from the start to the end during our visit to this property. The staffs at this property are all great from valet to the check in to the cleaning staff to ESCORT service executive. I would like to specially mention about Mr. Ganga (Resort Manager), Mr. Manoj (Chief Chef), Mr. Kary (Front Office) for their wonderful service. All staffs will go above & beyond to make your stay comfortable. The rooms were clean, safe, very comfortable & spacious with all amenities. Kids activities were well organized & excellent. Camp fire was arranged in pool side. Restaurant offered us delicious buffet dinner & breakfast. Overall it was a memorable stay!! Thank you & will recommend to my friends & families.

So much potential
Reviewed By Anne GSo I give this little place a star for the location and the potential that it has. I was not expecting 5-star or anything fancy but the whole thing was a let down. The manager is not very polite and was annoyed and angry with me that I booked on Agoda online. The website doesn't work and I was I supposed to know that I had to call him directly. He seems to be a law unto himself. There was not breakfast even though it was "included" in the online booking. He said was Ramadhan and so no breakfast - too be honest he was too disinterested to arrange anything. As a group of kiters we knew what to expect and we really want the best for this place. Renovations are currently ongoing now which is great but the hotel really needs an accountable manager who is at least civil to guests. Our AC was not working but we couldn't be bothered to deal with the manager again (we slept outside, the breeze was cool). Yes I will stay here again because of the location and overall the rooms were clean. If you get one of the bigger rooms you even have cooking facilities. Just remember to bring your own supplies from home or nearby as you are driving through Aseelah. To summarise: There are many way nicer, cleaner, friendlier, serving breakfast/some food kind of places along the Al Ashkara coast, for example, the wonderful Atana Stay some kms more south. I appeal to the owners of this place to be more proactive because it could really be a wonderful spot and potentially fully booked over the summer with surfers and kitesurfers. I really want it to be better...
