Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province and one of the seven ancient capitals of China. It was described by Italian traveler Marco Polo as the finest and most luxurious city in the world. The West Lake scenic area contains over 60 cultural relic sites and several attractions of natural beauty, and a cruise on the lake is a good option to view several sites. This residence is just incredible, and I have seen a number of them thoughout China. The mix between traditional chinese architecture and late 19th century european one, with the blue glass windows and the incredible chinese garden makes this place one of the absolute must see attractions in Hangzhou. It's also very close to Hefang Street and the City God Temple, so it makes for a good day tour :)

Considered to be the model for "loyalty" in China. An ancient Chinese General that died for his country, at the hands of his own countrymen but even in his death he expressed love and loyalty to China and has no regrets. A great mausolum to visit. Do not forget to take a picture in front of the statue where you see a couple kneeling, binded, facing towards Yue Fei. If you wonder what that's about he was the guy that betrayed Yue Fei and caused his death, and I guess his wife is there too repent of his sins with him. In the old days it's customary to spit of them, but they don't allow that anymore (for obvious reasons).
