Hostik is strategically located in the heart of Mérida, just minutes from parks, museums, bars and markets. The Hostel is right in front of the old Railway Station, which operated from 1920 to 1974: an emblematic place for Yucatan.

Reviewed By James-0009127The area in which the hostel is located is great, so close to the centre. The rooms are spacious but there is NO air conditioning so gets very hot at night. The staff are also very unhelpful and almost come across as rude. They have little to no customer service skills, even the simple things such as ‘welcome’. But the actual hostel is very nice. Just need a improvement of actual human interaction.

Best location in the city
Reviewed By Thea SMy friends stayed here for 2 nights and it is in the best location in the city. Slap bang on the central main square and right next to the cathedral, tourist information and museums. Rooms are clean with aircon and the breakfast is unlimited. If you're coming to Merida for a cultural experience and to explore the city I would highly recommend this hostel.

Lovely hostel
Reviewed By lucyp822This was a lovely hostel. The staff really made our experience the best. They were so friendly and accommodating! The breakfast was delicious, different every day, and made fresh every day (we had pancakes, quesadillas, and scrambled eggs). The place is small so creates a real family atmosphere. The hostel itself has lots of character and it is obvious how much effort has been put into it. A special mention to Emilio who was so friendly and lovely to talk to. We stayed 4 nights and it’s the first hostel on our trip that we have genuinely missed when we left. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Special thanks to nice tips from Wilo and delicious mojitos by juan carlos at happy hour. The city is totally worthwile and check the local market for buying art. best prices compared to quitana roo. cenotes and maya culture very close by.

Reviewed By slavkov92The hotel is right in the center of city. Great location! Very clean rooms / much above the average in Mexico! Nice pool and reception. Good parking space. And very kind staff/especially Fracesco - who is the only one fluent in English. Awsome!

Reviewed By pollzhEs hat alles wunderbar geklappt und gut funktioniert. Auch der Wäsche Service war gut und günstig. Die Frau, die das Hostal führt, ist sehr nett. Es hat eine Küche, in der man sich das Frühstück selber zubereiten kann. Auch an heissen Tagen ist es schön kühl im Zimmer, es hat Ventilator und TV. Das Badezimmer ist gut eingerichtet.

Great stay. Good advice from host
Reviewed By 218runekGreat hostel to stay at. Clean and well kept common areas but best of all is the host. Go to him with any question and he'll help you. We had no plans when arriving in mérida and because of him we've had a great stay and seen some nice cinotes. Be advised that this is not a party hostel. It is a lovely family owned hostel to relax in. Good breakfast as well and coco the dog is very friendly so all in all great stay at a good price.

Reviewed By Mike WThis was a very clean and quiet hostel located to the south west of the city center. The park close-by provided a good landmark for taxi rides. The air-conditioning was great and there is a common area with desks. The price was perfect and Merida was the best place I've ever been in Yucutan.
