Good air con within rooms which are a good size . Things to note are international credit cards not yet accepted and it is more or less 100% Chinese so very little English if any. More than happy to stay again

The breakfast was satisfying with freshly cooked noodles and seafood to choose from. So much to eat here. Huge crowd though and the plates and cups ran out very fast. A delight to come back to at the end of a hard day's tour. On the second night we walked out to the Yanhe bridge for the night illumination of the Mount Baota scenic hill.

Reviewed By s33eetpeaIt is an older, French styled, clean, comfortable hotel, must have looked very grand in it's hay day. It is about 10Km from the Nanniwan ENY airport, the hotel provides free airport transfer service. Our check-in was swift, the receptionists spoke good level of English especially the Duty manager. They accept VISA and MasterCard. We were welcomed with date tea and pomelo juice, and given a bag of goodies : cartons of drinks and snacks. We booked for 2 nights, and we were pleasantly upgraded to a room that came with a computer, though we did not use it. The bedroom looked exactly as shown on hotel photos. The bedroom was in an older style, spacious, It has a fridge, kettle, slippers etc. The carpet on the floor looked old style, but did not smell. The attached large bathroom came with toiletries, it has plenty of hot water, and with a roller blind to shut off view, from the bedroom, for more privacy. Our bed was comfortable, there was a multi adaptors for charging our various gadgets. Our room facing the back of the hotel, over looking the railway tracks. We heard announcements, and when a train was passing through, faintly. We were not disturbed. Western and Chinese breakfast was served on 2nd floor, with many choices, more than enough to cater for everyone. We were able to book tour to nearby ' colourful canyon ' with the in house travel agent. Flight booking service was also available etc. The Duty manager helped us to post a small parcel via a local speed post, similar to UK's UPS. He also explained to us during the process, so we understood what was required of us. The postage was super cheap, only 20 Yuan per 500g, extra 5 Yuan for more bubble wrapped. During our weekend stay, there was wedding reception going on in the in-house restaurant , so we did not use it. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel, fare of 1-2 Yuan, for visits to nearby scenic places like the pagodas, old fort gates, especially the various places / cave houses, museums, where the 'RED' revolutionists like Mao Ze Dong lived. On return, we got off the bus just after it passed the bridge in front of the hotel, on the other side of the road. Very convenient. There are many restaurants and shops nearby, all within walking distance. We had late check-out at 14.00, which was included in our booking. We spend our time in the big comfortable lobby, till our train departure time at 16.00. The Duty manager bid us farewell with 2 big locally grown apples. We have no complain, we were well looked after, we really have enjoyed our stay there, and we will not hesitate to go back to stay in that hotel again.
