Our full-service restaurant serves Mexican, European, Indian and British cuisine and well-known in the peninsula. Dinners are cooked slowly to keep in all the flavours. Linen table cloths, cotton napkins, candles, good China and wineglasses decorate your table. Many of our items are vegetarian. We also have daily specials and on request prepare special dietary dishes. Two of the prime concerns of international travelers are pure water and safe food. Our kitchen, pantry, and auxiliary areas are spacious and very clean; we use purified water for all our cooking. We can also provide packed breakfasts and/or lunches on request to make your daytime travel more convenient. If you’re going to spend the day at Calakmul, please place your order the night before to get an early start! Our bar is the focal point of guests' interactions before and after their adventures at Calakmul, the Rio Bec and the Biosphere.

The food in the restaurant is 'International Cuisine' and very high quality.
I think I would have enjoyed it more towards the end of our trip when I was getting a bit fed up with authentic Mexican food!
The standard of food and service is extremely high.

We stayed at the bungalows the owner of the restaurant owns, and he directed us there. I’m glad he did since it’s a very nice mom ‘n pop traditional restaurant. The menu is limited since small Mexican village restaurants tend to only serve when they recently killed or caught, so expect a lot of chicken on the menu. The food was good and cooked to order with lots of chili sauce to choose from. They don’t sell beer, but it’s okay to buy beer at one of the local markets across the street and bring it in. Needless to say, the prices were very low with entrees running only 75 to 90 pesos. Even the large bottle of beer from across the street was only 30 pesos.

The exterior of this restaurant looked inviting so we decided to take a chance. The staff was friendly and the food was really quite good. This location is clean and has a nice selection of dishes to choose from. They also make some delicious banana shakes.The prices were reasonable and it seemed to be a popular spot as more and more people arrived while we waited for our meal. I noticed a map on the wall that pinpointed the location of the many pyramids in the region and wish I had asked them where I could obtain one like it as it seemed to have all the sites listed unlike any map on sale in the tourist areas.

Place was recommended by hotel Maya Balam, but when we got there we were hesitant to go in. Place looks clean but like a truck stop. There was a truck driver sitting inside clearing his plate. We thought we'd give it a chance. Both ordered the steak Mexicano (onions and tomato) and it was wonderful! Came with rice and soft taco's. Service was good, prices low, atmosphere, well....not great but the food made up for it. I recommend!

Food was good and delivered quickly (which was helpful because we had a lot of driving still to do after lunch). Restaurant is much cleaner and more vegetarian-friendly than others in town (we stopped at 3 other restaurants in Xpujil before finding this one). Would recommend!

You can find several good places in this small town (Xpujil), but the food in this restaurant is delicious. I ordered a Tampiqueña (beef, enchiladas, salad, fried banana, guacamole) and the dish was very good. In addition you can order fruit juices (I ordered a watermelon juice, to refresh yourself of this hot weather (about 38°C.)
In addition, the service is very good (but a little slow) and they take credit cards.
We didn't stay at that hotel, just visited the restaurant.

Cibo abbondante e davvero buonissimo! abbiamo gustato una grande empanada di formaggio come antipasto, e di secondo pollo e manzo alla piastra, il tutto servito con tortino di riso, un po' di pasta, insalata, pomodori, patatine e tantissime salse a scelta. Il personale è molto cordiale e disponibile. da ritornarci appena possibile!

We didn't really know what to expect from Xpujil but we found this place near the end of the 'strip' and decided to give it a go. We came at a really awkward time (4pm) and they weren't even set up for dinner service yet, but it wasn't a problem to them and they set a table up for my boyfriend and I straight away.
The staff were really friendly and spoke much better English than I do Spanish! The pizza was also delicious. They played good music too.
Towards the end of our meal they began setting up for a karaoke night which looked like fun. We would have quite happily stayed and drank beers, sing songs and eat pizza all night but we were driving and had an early start, but I would definitely recommend anyone going to area to give this place a go.

We went to Xpujil to visit Calakmul and stoped at La Pizzeta for lunch. The food is delicious, fresh products, the service is quick and really thoughtful and the prices are really cheap. We ate only the good vegetarian dishes. It's been one of our best lunch in Mexico.
Fuimos a Xpujil para visitar Calakmul y llegamos a La Pizzeta para comer. La comida es muy muy rica, los productos frescos, el servicio es rapido y amable y los precios son muy bajatos. Hemos comido platos vegetarianos muy ricos. Estaba una de la mejor experiencia de comida en Mexico.
