It's hard not to wax lyrical about Calice dei Cherubini: the name says it all - it is the Cup worthy of Cherubs, Seraphs and angels. The bucolic situation on the Oltrepò Hills has nothing to envy the Tuscan vineyards - a gently rolling landscape covered in ordered rows of vines as far as the eye can see, in muted autumnal hues, with here and there an orange maple or a golden poplar. The place has been so far preserved from mass tourism thanks to its seclusion.The building is a renovated traditional farmstead where the kitchen and the restaurant are, with a separate barn for the storage and bottling of the wines they produce (pinot noir, barbera, bonarda, interesting blends, dessert wines and grappas.Calice dei Cherubini is a harmoniously run family business, with an edifying history dating from 1964, in which three generations of Calatronis share the duties - cultivating, wine-making, cooking, serving. All is done with the highest professionality, to the customer's utmost satisfaction.The set menu varies with the month and is comprised of several antipasti, two first courses, a meat course, a dessert and different generous wine tastings (6) pair every course, ending with caffè and grappa. No faux pas, everything is perfect to a t. The bill is the most astonishing aspect of it all: 30 Euro for one of the most satisfying experiences you will have.

tried with co-workers, magnificent landscape, personem the view over the plains, the wine, ... Working lunch meeting with the table, including omelettes with herbs, meats and aged Bonarda in a superb risotto with asparagus, a rabbit hunter's delicious with roast potatoes, dolsce of fruitcake with all combined with Bonarda and Riesling for "French pilgrims" , It also has 2 apartments with a terrace from which you can see a beautiful view and a swimming pool used d 'summer. The cellar is full of wine and history .... we return

Ci siamo stati oggi per la prima volta io e Singh e siamo rimasti molto molto contenti. Ambiente decisamente giovanile. Piatti a scelta ottimi . Velocità nel servizio. Qualità del cibo consumato ottima . Presentati bene . Possibilità di scelta vini per tutta Italia . Birre anche . Câè anche un piccolo giardino interno . Provatelo !

The Enoteca not only offers a very nice selection of wines from the Oltrepo Pavese region - so far still a bit underestimated but the quality of its wines fortunately becomes more widely known - but also a range of other regional products (e.g. marmelades from the Azienda Agricola Malbosca) worthwhile getting to know. All of the wines can be enjoyed (for a mere â¬2 extra) with some very nice and affordable food (there is already a menu for â¬25). Do enjoy the meal and stock up on some nice wines!
