Pivaz is a very comfortable modern restaurant serving Turkish food. As a group 6 adults and 1 child we had a meal on a Saturday afternoon in a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and is presented attractively on unique crockery. We had a variety of starters that included octopus, calamari, prawns all of which very fresh. For mains we had a variety of chicken, lamb, mixed, adana and beyti kebabs. The meat was so tender we decided they were the best kebabs weâve had for a long time. Our child meal was chicken kebab with real potato chips, delicious!!

Everything was going so well until we got the bill. Our 4 year old daughter is allergic to dairy and so we were recommended the lamb chops on it's own without rice, kuskus or salad. Surprise surprise as 4 year olds do she had a few bites and left it, however we were shocked that we were charged £16.90. I mean why would someone recommend a £17 dish for a 4 year old? In Debden? Dishes on the childrens menu were under £9 (but had dairy) so i felt that they could have at least shared with us that it might not be 'economical' or arranged for us to have a more price appropriate for a small child. Franklly we felt like we had been done over - Soho clip-joint style, but ultimately we have to take responsibility for being too trusting.This is unbelievable!!. We done excellent service for your family. Because your child has dairy allergys i personally suggested only lamb chops or lamb ribs which this 2 does not contain dairy products. You did mentioned its bit expensive for child and i removed the drinks on your bill!! I didnât count how many times You thanked me For this than you go and leave me this review? We never mean to sell expensive food to you we only cared about your child's health if we wanted your money i would of changed for the drinks as well !! We only care about your child health and advised you the right foods on our menu.All my staff and i tried to make your family happy and we get this review on the end! Thank you!!!

Dropped in 26/08 without booking, no problem at all, waiter found us a table with no fuss.Very nice food, excellent service and a nice atmosphere and feel about the place.Waiter found out that it was our wedding anniversary and made us feel very special, a nice touch with complimentary desserts complete with candles too!Will definitely return, a very pleasant evening.

Visited this restaurant for the first time last night. It looks very nice and new. The decor is good and the food - ok. The meat could have been better. A little fattier than I am used to. The staff were amazingly attentive. They are extremely polite, smiley and eager to assist. We could not fault them but the noose within the restaurant was crazy. It seemed to be full of drunk people celebrating at a large table and drinking copious amounts of beer. Shame really as it spoiled our evening. Nice restaurant but too noisy and fraught for a quiet, peaceful meal.
