Morelia (Spanish pronunciation: [moˈɾelja]; from 1545 to 1828 known as Valladolid) is a city and municipality in the north central part of the state of Michoacán in central Mexico. The city is in the Guayangareo Valley and is the capital and largest city of the state. The main pre-Hispanic cultures here were the Purépecha and the Matlatzinca, but no major cities were founded in the valley during this time. The Spanish took control of the area in the 1520s. The Spanish under Viceroy Antonio de Mendoza founded a settlement here in 1541 with the name of Valladolid, which became rival to the nearby city of Pátzcuaro for dominance in Michoacán. In 1580, this rivalry ended in Valladolid’s favor and it became the capital of the colonial province. After the Mexican War of Independence, the city was renamed Morelia in honor of José María Morelos, who hailed from the city. In 1991, the city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its well-preserved colonial buildings and layout of the historic center.

Not spectacular but still a nice grill on the south of the city. El Parrillon is a good place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary with intimacy. The grill is good, the Argentinian empanadas were worth and the restaurant has a good offer of Mexican & South American table wines. From winter to spring, the place is a good view of the city.Muchas gracias Alfredo agradecemos tu opinión ya que esta es muy importante para nosotros. trabajaremos para que en tu próxima visita encuentres mas cambios y mas platillos.Esperamos verte muy pronto en esta tu casa

Well, lets say that this place isnt cheap. In here you will eat a lot of meat (maybe more that you wanted, but you cant stop) and see a lot of wealthy people and reunions. And maybe, just maybe, you will have to eat side to side with pacific drugdealers, which tend to go there, but they are pacific and if you have the lucky they go that day, they pay the check of everyone.

Great wood grilled meat cuts, fish, pasta. Excellent casual service Good wine, great view. Pizzas less wonderful.Try the lechuga orejona a la parrilla.Limited but excellent selection of desserts.
