It is situated at the foot of low hills, about 2 km from the Ionian Sea coast. It is 3 km west of the beach village Laganas, 5 km southeast of Machairado and 9 km southwest of Zakynthos (city). The village suffered great damage from the 1953 Ionian earthquake.

The perfect restaurant for quality food. We were on holiday for 2 weeks and ate here EVERY night, the menu was so varied- anything from Italian, Mexican and even genuine Greek cuisine. The food always blew us away, 100% would recommend this family friendly restaurant to anyone after cheap, amazing food. The staff were warm and welcoming and the owner Yanis is what made this restaurant special (Whilst waiting for your food ask him to do one of his card tricks). Cheers for the amazing service and food guys!

First time in here but it was excellent. My wife is coeliac and they looked after here gluten free need extremely well.We like many Kalamaki restaurants but we will visit here more often next time.

Disappointed we only went here on our last night. Best meal of the week by far. Set in beautiful gardens and friendly staff. Steaks were absolutely top notch and reasonably priced. Got complimentary bread and dips then complimentary bruschetta before our meal even arrived. Spring rolls as our starter which were some of the best we've ever tasted. Steaks with sauces for our main which were again some of the best we have had,perfectly cooked. Then given complimentary cocktail and a small panna cotta which was beautiful but none of us had room to eat

If I could give Bon Appetit more stars I would. I felt so impressed I arrived home today and needed to write a review to share my experience with others maybe looking for a traditional place to eat. Wonderful vegetarian food (I had the vegetarian moussaka..delicious!!) Excellent customer service, very warm, friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant, if you are looking for a taste of fresh homemade greek food with a relaxed family feel. We have visited Laganas 3 times now and each visit have eaten in Sizzlebang. The food has always been cooked to perfection and staff always friendly with excellent sense of humour. Gorgeous food, complimented by a gorgeous hostess. The family are a credit to the island. Highly recommended.
