Mama's Kitchen is a very different dining experience. Every day Mama cooks a selection of traditional Greek as well as international dishes, and every day she cooks something different. We also cater for vegetarians and have a separate childrens menu too.

Mama's kitchen was on our list to be for about a week. We were so satisfied with the food and hosts, we decided to have dinner there around the day. The atmosphere is a little crazy; daughter yelling at mother in the backroom then coming back to your table with a huge smile, asking if everything is fine. Very funny at times. The food is very fresh. They have a limited menu which changes everyday, so you will have to reserve a table a day before at best. All in all this restaurant is not pretentious which is also their strength. For us it was good enough to visit them very, very frequently. Because we have a little kid, they were willing to be a little more flexible in their actual serving times; but that is supposed to be a secret and an exception ;-) . A must visit!

Visited Mermizeli two times in this holiday, and was not disappointed at all.Very nice staff, and great food.The development of this restaurant from the time they opened, som years ago to this day, has only gone up! Fantastic menu, with some very nice and special dishes, great vines and and a great wiew, because there is no big boats on this side of the harbour.Keep up the good work, you are doing great....

If you stay in Samos,you have to visit this restaurant.Opposite side of the restaurant you can fınd a mını park place but ı advise you to make reservatıon because its very small restaurant with limited tables.Fish,mezes everything very very fresh,and the the prices acceptable .The most delicious restaurant ı ever visited in Greece.Thank you kindly.

We visited this place during greek holiday,it was very busy but still,it was not an excuse to get our first dish after 1,5 hour of waiting.Waiter forgot to inform us that they were out of saganaki and it was really late,to wait for something else,so we left rather hungry.The biggest issue is bad smell coming from the mud surrounding the taverna though.

Good food well prepared.Pre-course in the form of âbreadâ and pesto put on table at arrival and thatâs not on the house. The âbreadâ was the kind of dry sticks you buy at the supermarket.Apart from that, which Iâm not fond of, the food is really good. Maybe the best saganaki an stifados in Kokkari?4+

Within a week of vacation, we ate here twice, because everything here is just perfect! First things first the traditional greek food they serve is great. The view over the ocean is amazing and the service is wonderful. Definitely worth it!!!

We went here thanks to a TripAdvisor recommendation and it didn't disappoint. The tavern is by the water, the colours are so pretty, looks very genuine. The owner was very friendly and funny and accommodating! The food was delicious - we got tzatziki and Greek salad and meat dishes. Everything was great, tasty and the portions huge! This place was a great way to start the culinary journey in Samos!

Holiday, 3 elderly ladies from Finland, good friends of Greek food: In Restaurant Kamara we got delicious food in a very friendly atmosphere and we got quick & efficient service. We ate there few times and after visiting some other restaurants (which proved to be at best very average), we came back to Kamara also on the last 2 nights of our holiday....just to be sure that we get something good to eat. We visited Lakis last month during our visit of Samos. Lakis is a really friendly man and so is his staff. He stood by our table every 5 minutes to ask whether everything was okay. At first we did not know why. At the end we found out, that it is because he wanted a good rating on this website. The souvlaki was so dry. My husband ordered the pork souvlaki, it was dry. I ordered the beef souvlaki, also very dry and not tasty at all. Even the dessert which was given to us, was too much and not tasy. I am sorry Lakis, you are a wonderfull host. But I have had better food in Samos. Further, it makes me wonder why your restaurant is the nr 1 in Samos. I hope it is not because you are so overly friendly and leave people no choice and at the end you beg for a nice rating.You have to be a very bad colleague (miss lady) to deal with me! what you write shows how stupid you are and how poor your mind is..1.if we see that the criticism is written by a customer and that the staff every five minutes asked if the food was good without getting a negative answer. we know the food we offer to the world and we know how to look it in the eyes! if you are a customer you should really be ashamed or not well in your minds2.we can't ask for reviews from customers who aren't happy with someone who doesn't like the flavors, nor do we force anyone to write.3.if you really ate here you showed us your fake self.
