The Povero Chic is a a family run restaurant, a warm and cosy place to spend a nice time while having a meal in a relaxed environment, located in the heart of the ancient town of Pistoia, a must see place, small but full of unique attractions.I've been there for lunch and there was a buffet, with a wide choice of different food, like some starters, then lasagna, pasta, different types of meat and vegetables as well. You can help yourself as much as you want paying a fixed, very reasonable price.I suggest to try the homemade Tiramisu' dessert, it was absolutely delicious.

Came with my boyfriend to this restaurant after being recommended by friend from England. We walked In to a super clean and beautiful looking restaurant and was greeted by tiziano who was a partner in the restaurant! He then introduced us to erriu our waitress who took us to our table. She soon after took our order then bought us out a complimentary carrot soup and a glass of prosecco which was a lovely touch. Everything we ate here was explained to us in detail, the food came out well presented and was absolutely delicious I will definitely be coming back here again and recommending to all my family and friends! Compliments to the chef food and service was of a 5* quality

We walked half an hour (one way) to get to this restaurant so popular on TripAdvisor. However, at lunchtime it is more a cafeteria with a large buffet to choose from, fish and meat dishes, quickly served and incredibly fresh and cheap. Pity we could not return at night, I think it then becomes a really good exclusive fish place.thank you very much!

Upon reading trip advisor reviews we sought out dinner on our way home from a long day of touring. This restaurant is tucked in a local neighborhood away from the tour spots. The restaurant is casual and food was excellent and unbelievably reasonable in price! Though the owner and waitress didn't speak English very well or at all, we were able to communicate just fine. Driving from Florence to our rented House near Castelnuova di Garfagna. Feeling hungry so look for advice at Tripadvisor. Near the A11! Lovely restaurant. Waiter and waitress very nice people. Just had dinner here at their new venue in Bristol. Are they trying for two Michelin Stars? Menu was outstanding as ever but seemed better than ever.Atmosphere and decor is better. Some of the fifteen dishes were "stand out" dishes - the mackerel risotto was packed with flavour it's go there again soon for the summer menu

The location is gorgeous. 10 minutes drive from Pistoia downtown but in open countryside.There are outside tables and I wanna be back in summer, absolutely, cause it must be stunning. The food is very very good and the presentation is astonishing. We had the fried egg, absolutely to taste, tagliatelle, rabbit with squid which is a pretty strange combination and beef. Desserts are pretty good too.The service is professional but friendly and at the end of our dinner the chef came out to ask for our impressions and/or suggestions.Portions are adequate for a restaurant of such a level. Very good choice of wines and craft local beers.Reservation is recommended.Prices are a little over the medium range but absolutely worth.The only thing I didn't like is the floor tiling in the dehor.

I had a dinner here with my friends, a group of 9, on a saturday night. Reservation is highly recommended especially if you want to seat indoor, where the are few tables.The place is nice though quite noisy and hot. Maybe outside is more comfortable when the weather is good.The service is quite professional but friendly.The wine offer is very good but they need to elevate the kitchen offer. If they want people to dine here and not stop for just a glass of wine, they need to drastically increase the portion sizes, especially for main dishes which are absolutelly too tiny.Once they fix the issue about dishes size, they'll offer a good service at the right price. Absolutelly deserving a second chance.

Avevamo un coupon di Groupon per una cena di pesce dall'antipasto al dolce. La cucina veramente ottima, pesce di qualità e tutto cucinato alla perfezione. Consiglio vivamente le alici in pastella. La location è stupenda una chiesa sconsacrata che hanno saputo valorizzare al meglio grazie alla scelta delle luci e dell'arredamento. Unica cosa da rivedere (ma probabilmente è dovuto ad un sistema non ancora rodato visto che la gestione è recente) l'organizzazione della cucina. Anche se tutto espresso i tempi di attesa sono ancora troppo lunghi e con un po' di confusione. Tuttavia è tutto compensato e ben perdonabile grazie al servizio cortese del personale di sala e ai piatti ottimi e abbondanti. Un 5 di incoraggiamento, torneremo sicuramente.
