Good place to have pasta and pizza. No range of other dishes, such as fish etc had the spagetthi (almost no other pasta types) with vongole and mushrooms. Very good but do not compare with a typical high standard restaurant. Good restaurant with family/ kids. Although they were full, we surprisingly did not wait too long and service was friendly and nive. Good vino de la casa. Allover a good recommendation with fair prices.

On a recent holiday to Elba and whilst staying in this resort, this restaurant was one of quite a few we ate in. It was very good we came twice to this restaurant. Good food, good service with a smile; and a good buzzing ambience. Food was excellent, and wine was excellent, lovely all round experience.

Slow and inattentive service, initially waited a long time for wine and water. Orders were taken and came back some time later to say they did not have one entree. The second entree, Lasagna, when it arrived was very small, as they had run out. Ordered a Tomato salad, what arrived was just cut pieces of Tomato on a plate. One entree arrived well before the other. When our plates were cleared away, no offer of dessert / coffees. We were looking forward to eating here, the service was a real disappointment! We ate dinner here in July 2012. The service was excellent and the food was exquisite. Could not understand why the restaurant was not more crowded. There is a table upstairs on an outdoor patio that would be great for a romantic tete-a-tete. If you are in Marciana Marina I would definitely recommend eating here.

A warm greeting awaits at 'La Scaletta', staff work very hard to accommodate all tastes. A little piece of Italian charm, basic food choice but pizzas, pasta & local fish won't disappoint especially, if washed down with some Elba wine. Reasonable, affordable prices. And, worth a mention - Yes, Max the Manager - a fun, entertaining, laid back Liverpudlian.

We ate dinner here on two occasions during our recent visit to Marciana Marina - both times we experienced excellent service and menu choices (especially as I am a vegetarian who doesn't eat fish). Lovely place to sit by the water's edge & watch the sun go down. We booked a table for the second visit, but for our first visit we were down there early (7.30 ish) and they found a lovely table for us.Would highly recommend.

The food here can not be faulted. Prices are also reasonable given the quality. Tuna 3 says starter was the stand out highlight. The monkfish pasta was also excellent. The only possible improvement would be to make the lighting a little softer. We will be back with your fail.
