We visited this splendid house after walking along the Deveron river. After having a look around the gift shop, we decided to have lunch at the Tea Room. A cosy ambience, clean and tidy throughout. Friendly staff. Impressive toilets too.Our light lunch was enjoyable. Soup and sandwiches. A fine lunch.

Visited here on Thursday 8th August ,very impressed with the selection of items in the shop. It really is an Aladdinâs cave, you spend hours looking at everything. Glad to say the staff were very helpful and friendly.Decided to go upstairs for a bite to eat as the weather was miserable outside. Seems everyone else had the same idea, a sizeable queue had formed on the stairs but the staff were quick at handing out buzzers and even tho it was very busy they all had smiles on their faces. Was told weâd have a 20 minute wait so decided to sit on the comfortable sofas and wait. We watched as the waitresses whizzed by, handling the people coming in, taking orders and handing the food out, we were exhausted watching them so heaven knows how they felt. We were shown to our table within 15 mins and our order was taken swiftly, again the young girl who took it was polite, smiley and friendly. Food came out steaming hot, I had the battered haddock, my friend had the Cullen skink. Both were delicious, bravo to the chef. We finished our meal and went to the till where yet another cheery waitress met us. Even tho it was miserable outside it didnât dampen the spirits of the staff. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and credit where itâs due to the restaurant staff, who did an excellent and efficient job in a very busy restaurant. We will be back!!!

Very quite the night we were there. Online menu varies hugely from the menu presented to us. What we did have was very tasty, but a little on the expensive side for the portion size. I had the southern fried chicken, the chicken was the small tenders, while my friend had larger breast meat ( well it looked like that anyway. Smallest container of coleslaw ever.Service was good,Thank you for your review. As the menu changes quite often, the online menu is a sample. (Unfortunately some of us are techno-twits so can't update the online menu.) Apologies for that. And please feel free to ask for more coleslaw ...

This place strikes me as a pub trying too hard to be a Restaraunt. The decor would be more suited to an 80's Disco - there is black with glitter everywhere. The cutlery was already laid out on the table but nothing matched - different sized knife and fork in one place setting. The menu was sadly lacking for Vegetarian dishes and was uninspiring. I ended up ordering the only dish suitable which was good old Macaroni Cheese. It came with chips and Garlic bread - no side salad or vegetables - talk about Carbohydrate overload!!! The cheese sauce in the Macaroni Cheese was powdery indicating that the base of the sauce hadn't been cooked long enough but I was hungry so I ate it. The chips seemed to be frozen, chunky oven chips. Overall was disappointed and wouldn't recommend it to my friends.Thank you for your kind review

Went here for lunch time sandwiches twice this week and they were lovely. Called in at 5pm tonight for an evening meal. The place was absolutely empty but were told all the tables were booked. They could offer us a table but only for an hour as they needed that table for someone else. Very disappointed with this. Came through from inverness for the day to go to the aquarium. Have been here before and forgot how amazing it was. Freshly cooked homemade food and brilliant friendly service. Amazing fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding with cream and ice cream. Highly recommended. Brilliant to see locals running this stunning wee gem.Thank you so much for your lovely review we really appreciate it. We're glad you remembered us and called in. As a frequent customer here I am happy to say that I cannot fault any dish I have eaten or the service with which it is presented. It is of very good quality and fairly priced and the owners are very nice and friendly people and as are the other staff. I totally recommend this cafe to everyone..

Stopped of for take out got soup, sandwich with salad plus juice and then sat down at harbour and ate my lunch tastiest lunch ever had, will be going back i highly recommend, price not bad either.You can either sit in and eat or take away, inside looks very clean and staff very pleasant.Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a super review! We are delighted you enjoyed your visit and its a definite plus you managed to get nice weather to sit and enjoy the view and harbour. We will look forward to seeing you again sometime.

Would have stayed here, but it looked awful on google streetview. Fortunately it has been considerably updated since then and looks much better.As it was, we only ate here. To be honest town has seen better days, but this place is like a modern oasis, really smart and up to date with good food.
