We were staying in the camp site round the corner and so visited the pub for lunch and dinner on different days. The staff were lovely and friendly. The food was excellent and could not fault. Portion sizes were very good and an excellent choice on the menu. Thank you to all!

i came for breakfast on 1/10/2019 at 9:30am.. and the bacon was to over cooked you good snap it in half,,, and so i came again on the 14/10/2019 at 9:40am,, and the bacon again was over cooked in both dishes,, the sausages were nearly black,, i even said the chef/cook that the bacon was over cooked... but he said nothing,, surely they could see it was over done but they still served it... i'm sure they would'nt of eaten it ....Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. What was once a dreadful place has been transformed into a very pleasant pub and restaurant.Right next to Dreamland it is ideal for a drink and a full meal. The menus consist of usual British fare but accompanied by very good service from attentive and friendly staff.The booking system can be a bit haphazard but for all that the food was good and the experience enjoyable.

Margate Inner Wheel hold our monthly meeting here. Barry and Sue bend over backwards to accommodate our sometimes awkward diners! The cater for us all, for example vegetarian, pescatarian, no dairy, no peppers to name a few!! Food great. We travelled from over an hour away to come to the beach & have a nice family lunch. We decided on The Swan based on tripadvisor reviews but we were sorely disappointed. We sat outside at the only table in the sun & were quickly surrounded by people who were there to smoke. I cannot believe how inconsiderate people are to sit next to a family with young children & light up when EVERY other table was empty. Not the pubâs fault, but a designed smoking area would be an idea as it ruins other peopleâs meals. It seemed that we had sat in the âlocals only areaâ as they all seemed to know each other & basically we felt pushed out. Very unpleasant. We moved to another table & ordered some food. We were there at the start of service yet we waited an hour for food! The childrenâs burger and the adult burger were both dry & horrible. We requested the adult burger to have only cheese on it but it came with everything (pretty simple request!). Honestly wish we had just brought a picnic or done some better research before coming. Not our kind of place AT ALL. Good afternoon, First of all, please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused to you and your guests during your visit to The Swan. I can see you planned your visit to us based upon our TripAdvisor reviews and therefore know the majority of reviews we receive are very positive. Our number one concern is our customers, and that all receive the very best customer service, quality food and drink. We're so sorry this wasn't made clear to you on this day. I would like to inform you that your comments have been raised with our kitchen team and we take all feedback seriously.As for your experience with outdoor smoking, the majority of guests (we had hoped) politely smoke away from people eating, however since receiving your review we have been looking into the issue and plan to introduce a clearly labelled smoking area. Usual great welcome from the hostess with a dry sense of humour. We were on a mission to see if the steak & ale pie was still as good as last time (2 years ago) and we weren't disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, great food & drink and very nice staff. 5 stars from us!

We live locally and have been here before, and itâs been a mixed bag.Stopped for an impromptu early evening meal.The view is outstanding, especially the sunset, the decor is ok, but not inspiring. You get the feeling that the waiting staff would really prefer you not to trouble them by eating. The G&T came out with no lemon and a slimline tonic, when ordinary was asked for, which was changed without fuss.Then the food. Served on cold plates, my chicken schnitzel was moist,but tepid and tasteless. The packet mash was dry, the mushroom sauce was greasy. Apparently my wifeâs fish and chips was nice.Itâs such a shame, this place could be so much more.

Tried this pub after a couple of years absence. Sadly it has changed hands and the menu is pretty basic and picking what to eat was difficult. No specials board. Desserts were limited choice too. Pub very noisy and the sound does travel through to the restaurant. Also sat at a table which was not fit for purpose. Very small in height compared to the others. Nice enough staff but we wont be going back.

I've eaten at Christie's many times, most recently last night and cannot fault a thing - the portion sizes are extremely generous (especially the breakfast), the produce is good quality and the prices are very reasonable. They also do a Burger Night and an Italian Night once a month which again are fantastic. I have also held a private function here with a buffet which again was generous and very reasonably priced - the atmosphere is friendly as are the staff. Quiz night is also good fun!Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are delighted to hear that you have enjoyed your visits to Christies and hope that you continue to do so in the future. I will pass on your lovely comments to our Chefs and front of house staff.
