We passed by this lovely outdoor seating area and decided to stop here for lunch while on a day trip to Lerici. We were quickly welcomed by the staff and chose a table with a nice view of the marina. My husband ordered linguine vongole (clams) which was tomato-based while I opted for spaghetti allo scoglio (mussels and clams) in olive oil. Both dishes contained clams with almost 100 per cent of shellfish, were tasty and the pasta cooked perfectly. In addition to the outdoor terrace, the restaurant has a large dining room across the street where the restrooms are located. They were very clean when we visited.Lunch for two pasta dishes, a mixed salad, sparkling water and cover charge (2 euros per person) came to 32 euros.

Good confirmation into this historical (my wife is going there since she was a teenager) pizzeria near Sarzana. Passion and courtesy, with a special attention to seasonal ingredients. Special and custom pizza are always available. Ask the waiter for the fresh mushrooms of the day.

Great pizza and wonderful staff! We even got some travel advice for our vacation while the pizza was in the oven. The value is very good, too. The pizzas start at 3,50⬠which is an absolute bargain.Highly recommended!

We tried both I Gabbiani and Giogo in Lerici and the winner was Gabbiani for us. This is a tiny place, where the pizza oven occupies 1/3 of the main room and the bar takes another 1/3. Basically this is take away place with a couple of small tables in the adjoining room, but it is a must for true pizza lover staying in Lerici! Try pizzas with truffles - Tartufo and Dolce Vita. Genovese with a mountain of fresh rocket salad also both looks and tastes amazing! Such a shame I had forgotten to take pictures of that beauty:(.

This is a little out of the way just of the tourist track, but only just. A family friendly warm welcome greets you and some family hospitality. It's a bit low key, no pretences kind of place but they do a tasty thin pizza with quality toppings. Good luck choosing because the range is huge. A good place for a low key meal.

Nice evening out, but I was told I could not eat outside since I was a solo diner. Saturday evening 8:15pm and over half of the outdoor tables were empty. You will not get my business. You are a popular place, but that is not a good way to treat a paying customer.

Rudder opens its doors around 1960 when Portovenere had not yet reached the tourist interest today. The create and lead him to the end of the 80s and Marino Toni offering their customers the traditional Ligurian dishes joined the Italian dish: pizza. Toda
If you are in Portovenere, you should definetely visit Il Timone. The location is great, not very crowded but nice view on the sea. The pizza's are all great (we tried a few), and also the local dishes like fried anchovis and farinata (chickpea pancakes) I can recommend. Friendly staff. Not very expensive.

The service was pleasant and attentive, the menu offered a great selection, and the food was fresh and well prepared. This restaurant is a great option for good local food. We enjoyed all the seafood dishes we ordered and the baked shrimp deserved a second tasting on our return trip. (You do need to peel them, but it was worth getting our fingers a little messy!)

1918 was highly recommended to us by two locals the first day we arrived in Lerici and it turns out they were spot on. The food is fresh and creative and the energetic staff compromised of the owner's family members work together in perfect harmony to provide outstanding customer service.
