Back in Italy after several months away!Great coffee!Better service!And half the price of the Cote d'Azur!So we we took pot luck and came up with this great little local resto! Our server had worked in Edinburgh and spoke perfect english!We had salads and Tagliere with lardo!My daughters Papardelle was so damn good!Great service lovely food, good honest meal, 3 meal and salads plus a bottle of wine! â¬66Great value, we will be back!We stayed at local hotel 200m from here(review to follow)

La Betulla is an agriturismo in the tiny hamlet of Veirera, near Sassello in Liguria. It offers wholesome quantities of excellent home cooked food of whatever is in season. Wooden platters of antipasti are followed by delicious primi (try the ravioli con salvia). Secondis we tried (on two visits) include wild mushrooms fried in breadcrumbs, stews of wild boar (cinghiale) or hen, and pork wrapped in cabbage. Local wines are excellent and the limited wine list is simply part of the deal. When we have been, we paid a standard price per head (including drinks) of â¬25. This is what eating is about.

Ad ogni visita non manchiamo di passare per la pizza al Monte Cucco: leggera, ricca di prodotti, proposte modulate in base ad ingredienti di stagione. Consiglio anche per pranzi o cene durante gli eventi e le serate, sempre divertenti e ben organizzate.

Una pizza così leggera erano anni che non la mangiavo, buona davvero. Peccato per il contorno, che non porta il buonumore. Il padrone e pizzaiolo è simpatico, ma non è lui a servire al tavolo. E' compito invece di una ragazza un pò malinconica appena atterrata da marte che ci chiarisce con un occhiataccia che possiamo bere heineken o rosso della casa, e basta. Non posso dire del resto del menu, perchè non ho preso altro. L'ambiente ricorda un pò la mensa della naia, ma fuori c'è il bosco che ci aspetta per una scampagnata.
