Asked for a pizza, mentioned the free pizza but it was dismissed (buy any size pizza get one free) Attitude was disgusting. We received our pizza and when asking once more about the free pizza... we received attitude and she didn't seem to care!! On top of that.. tables were dirty and we just felt unwelcome like the staff couldn't be bothered.Unhappy.

When ordering on the app be cearfull as it dose not clearly sate what it says on there menus when getting the food which I ordered a tuti fruit pizza it had burnt ham on it then when I opened the Donna meat I asked for cheese on it which coated an extra 80p it did not have it on. When I spoke to them on the phone they were very Unpolite and asked said "what would you like me to do" at which point I asked for a refund and only gave me 80p when I ordered 2 Donna meat So sorry we disappointed you on this occasion please accept our apologies.

I had been used this takeaway for a matter of weeks since its opening, in fact. Since I am on my own, after a long hard week of working, a takeaway is my treat. There are many takeaways in Ripon but the food isn't good, or the prices are astronomical. Hence the reason this place earned my custom being reasonable with good food. However, after a stressful week, I phoned to place my usual order, only to be told they were refusing to take my order as it was "too cheap" they had a minimum spend of £10 (I have to add, my order came to £10.50). I had no apology from the stroppy girl with a bad attitude on the phone, and had to complain via facebook, for the manager to respond with something along the lines of 'enforcing new rules'. There is NOTHING stated on the menus about a minimum spend so there is nothing they can legally enforce, the only thing they can achieve is poir customer service and loss of custom as a result. This place needs to learn professionalism and use less prejudice against people who aren't overweight with ridiculous appetites.

Always had great food. Especially love the Ocean Basket or Fishermanâs net Chicken dishes also great Pies or burgers Itâs not just fish Specials wonderful too. Valentinoâs is always our go to restaurant due to the friendly staff, great food and fab atmosphere but last night meal was extra special due to there delicious lobster festival event. We really enjoyed our night. Thanks Rick and team for a wonderful evening, see you again soon!

Wife and I went based on the reviews.Starters were the best but who can get bread and olives wrong?Main I had a pasta dish which in my opinion tasted like a shop bought sauce with added chilli and parsley.Pasta was not freash but dry....Wife had ribs which were ok not worth the money tho.Overall staff were friendly, cook was heard cursing when he got an order wrong.Was not value for money.Hello leedsfansuffolkI am sorry you encountered issues while dining at hot lava. I can assure you we take pride in every dish that is served.I do remember the night you dined with us, as it was myself that served you. I did ask on a few occasions if the food was all ok and I was told it was. If we have known of any issues you had at the time, we would of tried our very best to try and accommodate you both. All our pasta sauces are made fresh. As for what you heard from the kitchen this will be looked into. Thank you for dinning with us and we do hope you will come again so we can improve your expectations of us.

I would always recommend that you book a table in advance, this is the busiest and best Italian restaurant in Ripon, in my opinion anyway. Fabulous food and the service is second to none would not hesitate to recommend a meal here for a special occasion or just for a treat.

After an unfruitful day at the races we arrived for our table pre-booked and were shown to it by mine host.The menu is VERY extensive and not over-priced either. A good selection of specials on the board too.Young friendly and very efficient staff whilst not being over attentive and bothersome.The food was to die for. We and our friends have eaten together all over Europe at some extremely good and reputable establishments. In the words of our friends: âquite possibly the best Italian weâve eaten anywhereâ.
