Stayed at Dolomit Boutique Hotel & enjoyed all of our meals here. The menu is extensive, local ingredients, yummy wood fired pizza, friendly staff, and such a beautiful decor. Best meals we’ve enjoyed in the area and highly recommend it. Clearly the locals love it!!

Caterina Pizzeria

The Catarina has the advantage of being one of the few restaurants open early in the summer season in Corvara. It is not perhaps the most romantic of places and neither is the service anything other than workmanlike, but the pizzas are excellent. We had a Napoletana with a goodly portion of anchovies, and a Cappricciosa which had nice ham and a small portion of asparagus...both were delicious. Pizzas as we like them on a thin and crispy base with the tastiest tomato sauce.Prices are reasonable and although there is a minimum choice of wines, ie Red or White!!! the red wine was very good and was only 12euros a litre.

Came upon La Tambra although passed it many times. Modern rustic interior. Decent choice of menu and not too expensive. Had a lovely table in the window looking out on the slopes. Good friendly service.

Popular as nothing else was open. Basic menu. Coffee was excellent. Pizzas were good however a marinara is not a seafood like all other countries. Warm inside although to attend the bathroom, they were out at the rink. There was some skating on while we were there but that finished early. Decor was ok!

Ristorante Zirmstube presso Posta Zirm Hotel

Reviewed By PizzaWithFeta

We came to this restaurant for a pizza, as it seems that pizzerias are not abundant in Corvara. We found a nice ambience with modern decor, and friendly personnel. The waiter was however not very well prepared on the wines (we wanted to know the vintage of the proposed wines on the menu and that took some time to be sorted out), but he was nice and willing to sort it out, so the situation worked out well in the end. The pizza was OK, the dough felt light but a bit soggy and it was not the fluffy aerated dough of a good Italian pizza. The ingredients of the toppings were of average quality.Overall, a pleasant experience but not a memorable evening.

We went to this place for dinner after a long day of ski, tired and hungry. Ordered 1 tyrollean soup and 2 pizzas. Never ever had to wait 45 minutes for a soup. The lady who served us (who claimed to be the manager… really???), said that such a soup requires 50 minutes of cooking. Really doubt that. Maybe she meant fifteen in an approximate English language that I could not understand. Anyway, whenever some dish requires more than 30 minutes, I guess the waiter tells you to know what to expect. This was not the case. After we had the soup and still waiting and waiting for pizza, while 3 tables around us, which all arrived later that us, had already finished, we decided to pay and leave. Then she started to fight with us, shouting and even threatening to call the Police. Are you kidding me??? For waiting more than 1h to be served? And then for enduring the nerves of the so called owner or manager???A manager should be more educated, calm and polite to the clients. As a manager you cannot afford to insult and shout at your guests. The lady seemed to have really serious nervous problems that need urgent treatment, otherwise I cannot explain such rude and violent behavior. She called someone from the personnel to talk with us in our mother tongue. What??? My husband is a native English speaker and I understand perfectly well Italian. If we were Africans could she call an African person from the kitchen to talk with us? Apologies for African people. This is my first review for a restaurant and I deeply regret it's such a bad one. Love Italy, love Italian people and have many very good Italian friends, but I've never been treated so bad in Italy or elsewhere.

I’d really like to rate this a ‘4’, but just can’t quite get there. Service was good. Not overly friendly, but professional, and the food came VERY fast. Two of us shared a tuna salad, which had the equivalent of most of a can of tuna (no sauce or spices of any kind, just tuna) on top of a bed of different varieties of greens (EUR 11.50). We also had a ‘Verdure’ pizza, which came with 2 big slices of zucchini, 2 slices of eggplant, and a lot of spinach and peppers (and cheese, of course) (EUR 12.40). In fact, a bit too much cheese for our taste, which along all the veggies made the crust soggy (it was well cooked, but still got soggy and soft). So soft that some portions could not be eaten without silverware. Soggy crust plus tuna without any seasoning on nothing but greens equals a ‘3’. Doesn’t mean it isn’t worth going, but lower your expectations a bit if you do.

We ate here two days running, and both times it was excellent. Service was excellent, even during a very busy time in Corvara, no long wait for food (which we half-way expected, given the crowds), and really delicious. Day 1: my wife got a salad and we shared a big bowl of Spaghetti Carbonara (why does carbonara taste so much better up in the Alta Badia than it does in Rome?). Both really good. Day 2: I had the Gnochetti Verdi (aka green Spatzle) which was great (and this was my second lunch—after finishing the Maratona dles Dolomites), my wife got a salad and a pizza (which we got a box for about half of it, and I ate most of later that day). All really good.

Luianta

The first time we went to Luijanta was a year ago with our skiing instructor, who suggested it was an easy-access place if you fancied a coffee. We had lunch there a few times and thought it was a good price-quality option. We went back this year and as a result had lunch there every day during our skiing trip. There is an outdoor terrace with a view of the mountains and chairlift/slope, which is great in sunny weather. Otherwise, there is plenty of sitting inside. The place looks nice and modern, the service is fairly quick, but most importantly, the food is excellent. Pizza arrives in about 5 minutes, pasta and mains take a little longer. The menu has both local specialities as well as classic Italian dishes. I found that dishes are served beautifully, was particularly impressed by veal carpaccio. We have also tried tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, grilled sausage with polenta and mushrooms, pizzas. My personal favourite is gnocchi Lujanta style. I can definitely recommend this place.
