A converted pub on the South Side of the main street in Birtley.Arrived for opening on Saturday lunchtime and a shame that some of the old bleach smells of pubs were hanging around.Very quiet. Happy hour menu priced higher than currently shown online. Food was good with 2 courses for £9.95. Enjoyed houmous starter whilst my Mum obviously thought she was in an Italian and went for the potato skins option they offered. Both good.Both enjoyed chicken shish mains with rice/salad plus an extra of saute potatoes.All good enough and our waitress was pleasant.

Found this place one day when driving down the street. Always placed order as takeaway so cant comment on restaurant however always busy when collect food.Food is lovely never had a bad meal. I ate in this restaurant with Turkish friends one evening. There was a good choice of starters and main courses. The food was really delicious. For dessert, I had baklava, which I really enjoyed. The restaurant was quite busy for a mid-week evening which, I guess, shows that it is quite popular. As a main course, I was tempted by the moussaka, but eventually I chose Izmir kofte. I didn't regret my choice! I would definitely go here again.

Recently stayed nearby and had dinner twice at the cafe. On both occasions the Meal was tasty, generous servings with lovely fresh salad to accompany. I would rate the flat bread as possibly the best I have ever had with the lamb wrap. Great service and great value.
